A: This is not Free and Gentle. It’s “Clean and Gentle”. It doesn’t claim to be fragrance free, unfortunately.

The Target app has this listed as Free and Gentle. It’s not! The packaging definitely says Clean and Gentle. Target, please update your website listing for this. I wouldn’t have bought it if the listing was accurate bc it absolutely has an allergy-inducing scent!!

Has fragrance
This definitely has fragrance, something I didn’t notice until I opened it at home. I used it anyway and it didn’t do a very good job cleaning my clothes.

Detergents help water to penetrate fabrics and then loosen dirt, and also suspend dirt in the water so it doesn't go back onto the fabric. It is possible the soil from the garments has redeposited on the fabric. For the best cleaning results, we have a few tips. First, always follow the items’ care instructions and use the hottest water safe for the fabric. Secondly, sort clothes properly, grouping similar colors and fabrics together. It's also a good idea to pre-treat noticeable stains before washing, and not overload the washer. Use the recommended amount of detergent for average water hardness, a little more in very hard water, a little less in very soft water. Your satisfaction is important to us, and we’d like to gather some information, so we can further help. The fact it comes in a cardboard box instead of plastic is so nice! It breaks down easier for environment and in your bins! I also have super sensitive skin and have been able to use this on all my sheets and towels with no problems!

This detergent is such a great value! The box is large and the product lasts a while. You don't have to use much. It has a clean scent that's not overly perfumed.

Effective detergent with a subtle scent
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product free from Tide in exchange for my honest review. I found this powdered detergent to be highly effective at cleaning clothes and a good value. You don’t have to use much for a regular sized load and I like that. I don’t usually like scented detergents because the lingering smell of the clothing after the wash usually bothers me, but this scent is very subtle once the clothes are dried. I liked this detergent a lot and find that I would likely purchase this again. The only thing I don’t like is the packaging. With the box opening the way it does there is no real way to keep the lid all the way closed after you open it, and as a result powder tends to get on the washer lid and the countertop. I wish it was in a resealable bag; that option seems like it would be neater. Other than that objection I would highly recommend this product.

Another great day is it doesn’t cost nearly as much as the original Tide also, and that is wonderful as a Tide product.. if the packaging would have a lip or some type of way to lock it, that would make it that much better so if it falls it’s not going everywhere.

My go to is the tide clean and gentle but I typically use the liquid version so this was nice being able to try it out. I like the carbonated box better than the plastic tub so if I end up with no bad readings through the month, I’ll make the switch

Since there is enough soap for at least 68 loads in the single box I think that makes it more eco friendly. The pack would have been easy to open but I didn't notice there was a specific way to open it until after I tore into the box. If you open it the right way it's pretty easy to keep closed in between uses. My clothes are cleaned efficiently and don't have a strong smell to them. Overall a good buy!

The Best of Tide
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If there were a million ways to thank both Tide and Influenster for the complimentary full sized Tide Clean & Gentle Laundry powder it would never be enough. I appreciate being able to presoak soiled clothing and bedding. Call me old fashioned but I like for my whites to be white and for my colors not to bleed. It's gentle enough to wash baby clothes and to handwash unmentionables. I even mixed a bit with some baking soda and borax as an antibacterial for my clothes without having to rinse a million times. Bottom line, the best Tide!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love using powdered detergent, it’s so old school! I especially like that we’re not paying to ship water weight, which is kind of pointless. The detergent is very concentrated and easy to just flip the lid and scoop some. I like the ease of access, no caps or sticky messes. Distributed evenly and I had no problem with it dissolving and rinsing clean in cold water only washes. I trust Tide brand and I really like this product.
