    Good non battery run toy

    This front loader was bigger than I imagine but my 3 yo grandson loves playing with it. It isn’t battery operated which is good because it gets wet. My 9yo grandson prefers a toy which is battery operated for the noises. He wasn’t as interested in this front loader. Overall a good toy to run through the dirt, mulch, rocks, grass and water.

    Actual metal parts

    Ok, so Tonka (or any company,really) doesn't make toys the way they used to be made. But in a world full of plastic, at least a good portion of this is metal, still. Got this and another as Christmas gifts for my grandson who loves to play outdoors. (And thankfully his parents allow that, as opposed to sitting in front of screen all day!) The shipping time was acceptable and the price of these toys were about $20 less, each, than I could find anywhere else. (Like a buy 2 get one free comparison!)

    Wheels stuck. Do not buy.

    Front wheels are stuck to body of front loader. Loader itself Looks good, with metal and everything but This is really bad engineering and I am wondering if any of the members of the company checked it before manufacturing. Did they liked what a poor design they were able to make!

    Sturdy classic

    We have just about every truck you can imagine and this is one of them. Definitely made well. I’m sure it will get plenty more use but this is currently used for pushing around the house and sitting on top and scooting everywhere.

    awful redention of the old classic. cheap plastic in most places now. re-engineered working parts, like the bucket, now plastic and unworkable, such a poor design. metal on the cab only. sad. Tonka has capitulated.

    don't buy this Front End Loader SAFETY HAZARD

    I have always purchased tonka trucks because they last the test of time. I purchased the front end loader for my grandson who is 6 yrs old for his birthday. After 2 days of rolling it around on the living room floor the wheels came off and the steel rod fell out and creating a Safery Hazard. Plus the loader part is all plastic and breaks easy. I emailed the toy manufactor to alert them of the design and safy issues. I hope they recall this toy. I would not have given it any stars for rating.
