There’s a little piece that you have to flip up in the middle of the clippers in order for it to properly have a hinge to open and close. As is, fresh out of the box, that piece is so loose that you can’t even use the clippers. You can clip exactly one time before that little piece in the metal snaps out of place. So between every single clip you have to reposition it.

For those people who say there is no spring mechanism to automatically open the handle, you need to pull up that little tongue inside the handle and place it in the middle. This will act as the spring needed to automatically open after closing each time. It took me a minute to figure this out too…

Has not worked since I bought it
This is an awful product. I’ve had it for a few months now and every time I use it, the thing in the middle that is supposed to provide resistance/spring pops out from between the two pieces of metal. Every ten seconds or less, sproing! Which of course makes it completely unusable and dangerous. What a waste of money and you bet I won’t be giving target money to replace it with something equally awful.
