Secure the lid with the lid plug in the locked position. 4. Start the machine on Variable Speed 1 and quickly increase to the highest speed your Vitamix has. 5. Run on High for 30-60 seconds. 6. Pour contents out and rinse thoroughly. 7. Turn the container upside down and let air dry.

Q: I’m very excited to try this 410 for smoothies, but is the jar supposed to click in place onto the base, or is it normal for it to be a bit loose, and just sit on top of the rubber centering base? I feel like I’m missing something.

A: Hi! Congrats on the new Vitamix! Vitamix containers are not designed to lock into place. Therefore, it is completely normal for the container shift slightly while on the base. When you turn the unit on, you will notice that the container may shift slightly to the right or the left. This is intended, as the motor base is aligning with the container for optimal performance. If you feel more comfortable, you may place your hand on top of the lid while you blend to better secure the container. However, do not press down on the container in an attempt to “lock” it in place, as doing so could cause damage the motor.

I’ve only used it so far to make blended/mixed drinks. I put it back in the box when I’m finished. It’s not too big but I have a ninja blender that stays out all the time. Maybe one day I will leave it out permanently. But I love this blender.

This blender may be loud but it is so powerful. And will blend up anything. I made a fruit yogurt smoothie with the pictures enclosed and it was super yummy. I really enjoyed how it could make a creamy mango boba smoothie, to a petite diced tomato sauce. It's very easy to clean, and I feel like by having the blades at the bottom, it's safer than a bunch of blades vertically in the machine.

This blender can also make soup, I’m assuming it gets hot enough to slightly warm the ingredients. Cleaning is way easier than my other blender because the blade is attached…just add some dish detergent and water and blend until clean. The base is pretty sturdy and has some weight to it. I would say it is easy to use, my 7 year old can manage to blend his fruit smoothies without much help. Highly recommend for ease of use and versatility. It comes with a little muddler to push down ingredients as you blend.

It was very fast and powerful. I've never had a blender work so quickly. Very heavy and durable. I will be using it a lot for different things. I can wait to try malts or shakes. Great well made product. Cleaning is very simple and easy. Base is pretty heavy, but that just tells me it's very well made. I can easily store under or on top of my cabinets. It does not take up much space. The cord has clamps underneath for EASY STORAGE.

I made hot soup, green smoothie, and smoothie from completely frozen fruits, and all 3 recipes came out smooth in no time. The container did not move when actively blending, the blue light/on button in the front is a great safety feature. And the ease of cleaning! That’s probably the best part, how easy it was to just drop dish soap and blend away the mess. I already used it 3 times this past week, and I could see myself using it daily for all my smoothies and more hot soups in the future.
If you're into smoothies, get a Vitamix 410!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband and I both really love our new Vitamix 410 Blender so far! It's got some weight to the base, so you can tell it's well-made and durable. We were easily able to pack it full of enough ingredients for two fairly large smoothies (our first recipe!), with room to spare - and they came out great! Everything blended together perfectly in what seemed like no time at all, and despite being novices, we made ourselves some pretty darn good smoothies, if I do say so myself! The automatic smoothie setting worked perfectly, so we just had to turn a knob, press a lever, and we were drinking smoothies in no time! The only one who doesn't love our new blender is our dog - I do have to admit that it is rather loud when it's operating, and he wasn't a big fan. The noise level is the only minor complaint I can think of though (and it doesn't last long!), everything else was great! Easy to clean, easy to tuck away at the back of our counter when not in use, easy to use, easy to enjoy! 👍👍

Large rubber feet for stability, good thing they're not suction cups. Six speeds, a very unusually shaped blade. Smoothies are prepared very quickly, even with ice, without chunks! It's very convenient to assemble and disassemble the jug, the rubberized lid protects against splashes and is very easy to remove my 5 year old son made himself an apple smoothie under my supervision, safe to use even for a child Stylish, powerful, but at the same time very compact, looks great in my kitchen. I was praised for its wide, non-standard container, I want to say that the blender really mixes ingredients perfectly, from frozen fruits with ice to vegetable baby smoothies. The blender is very strong, stable, easy to use and maintain, I read the instructions once and never returned to them again.

And as someone who is constantly making smoothies and frequently being requested to craft a batch of frozen margaritas, I knew this machine would be a great fit. She’s super powerful with 10 speed settings, even if the highest speed is a little on the loud side for an apartment. But it’s not even needed tbh. This thing works wonders and even has a locking feature of the top lid where the hole is to make sure your sauces and drinks don’t go all over your place. Putting water and a drop of dish soap in the blender on high for a bit cleans it up quick and after a rinse you’re on to blending up your next tasty treat. I recommend because I know this will last me for years to come!

Bunch of different settings. Also the cord wraps around the bottom and has a place where it stays in place. Only thing I don’t like about it.
