Q: How long does a filter last?
A: Mine lasted about 4 weeks when I noticed a lemony taste and extremely long time (several hours) to filter water that I added. I thought it was my imagination so I put up with it. Finally googled and learned that’s a sign the filter has reached the end of its life. Got no where near 20 gallons of use with my first filter. At $17 a pop, it’s going to be rather pricey. Water tastes great but considering returning.

Q: Does this filter out salt from a softener?
A: Thank you for contacting ZeroWater. Though we do not have specific percentages, the fundamental premise of ion exchange is to reduce TDS, which is significantly comprised of calcium and sodium, for that reason, we would say removal is near 100%.
