Q: Does it kill the root and can I use it on grass in the garden beds .does it not kill grass??
A: Spruce is most effective against small weeds and grasses in garden beds. Although it is safe for use around people and pets when used as directed, it shouldn’t be used on, near, or to pretreat beds intended for edible plants like fruits, vegetables, and herbs. For other types of garden beds shield desirable plants/grass to avoid overspray. If desirable plants/grasses are accidently sprayed, rinse them off with water immediately.
