Q: Are the slider bags the same as freezer and standard bags? Should I purchase 2 different ones? I put more in the freezer than other places.

    Freezer bags leak along sides

    I use these bags to freeze diced and sliced bell peppers for cooking and salsa to last until next summer. The frozen peppers are fine, but the salsa leaks on some of the bags along the seams. The leaking is made worse after freezing so that while thawing I learned to place the bags onto a plate, so I don't have salsa all over my refrigerator shelf.

    New perforations cause leaks!

    I bought a new box of these freezer gallon baggies to put up green beans from our garden and to freeze blanched roma tomatoes until I had enough to make a large batch of sauce. As I thawed them today I discovered all 5 baggies were leaking!!! I don’t understand why the two rows of perforations are running across the bottom of every bag. That is where the bags leaked so I’m concerned air is also getting in!!! VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!

    Freezer Gallon

    I have used the freezer gallon bags for years and had no issues. The last box I bought, the bags are not sealing, very disappointed the bags are not cheap!

    New Stay Open feature

    I am greatly disappointed that the Stay Open feature has been forced upon us all. I do not appreciate the shape that my frozen food now takes even when frozen flat. My frozen food no longer lies flat, creating issues with stacking no matter if done horizontally or vertically. I'm not a happy camper.

    After using Ziplock freezer bags FOR DECADES....

    For some reason it is now common to have leaking bags. My latest exercise in futility happened when thawing out frozen tomato soup and it started dripping all over the counter. These bags SUCK now!

    Slits in all bags

    I've just opened a second box of the Gallon Stay Open bags, and, as in the first box, all of the bags have slits across one side just above the logo. I have to tape them shut in order to use them. They are too expensive to just throw away.
