Gaba allowed me to get off xanax

I have been using Gaba for several years. I was addicted to xanax by my drs. for years and weened myself off. When I'm nervous, stressed out and need to chill I pop some Gaba. It works just like xanax without the side effects.

GABA is Good!

One of the reasons I buy it is that it has a calming effect, which I seem to need in our stressful times. I am never without it, and would recommend it to anyone.

I had bad reaction. Pounding heart.

I got the 500mg Swanson Gaba. It helps me to get to sleep, but wakes me up 3 to 4 hours later with fast beating heart. At first, I thought it was just something going on with my heart or something I ate, but now I know it is definitely the Gaba, because I stopped taking it for a while & just tried it again last night. I had to lie awake for about an hour until my heart calmed down. I am not taking Gaba again.

Works

It does what the Naturopath said it would. It calms racing thoughts, and ALLOWS me to sleep (though it does not cause me to be drowsy, per se).

Good for Sleep

I really love this product. I take 2 capsules (which is 1000mg) nightly with a (200mg) capsule of Theanine to help me sleep. It works great.

May need to go back to 250 mg., or stop completely. Began getting dizzy and palpitations, along with difficulty breathing about 50-60 minutes after taking. I stopped this week.

Best EPA I’ve found.

Best, & only, EPA that makes a difference for me. Most noticeable effect is ability to sleep. This EPA is essential.

Sleeping like the dead....

Still fairly new to the product, and not sure if the GABA or a "power-of-suggestion", but I have been sleeping so much more soundly and waking far more rested. I am a "3 snooze" button guy, but am awake and not really using it.

Disappointed

I read a lot about GABA and hoped it would help my insomnia but it does not. I started with one 500 mg capsule and then 2 and now up to 3 500 mg capsules and I see zero difference in my sleep. Very disappointed, I was so hopeful but it does absolutely nothing for me.
