Annie Selke - Dash & Albert Birmingham Black Handwoven Indoor/Outdoor Rug, 2x3, Black

Bought 3X5 to use on front porch as a layering rug for seasonal coir mats which tend to be quite tiny. It's so well made and soft it feels wrong to have it in an area subject to weather! It's high quality - very soft, hard to believe it's not cotton. Black is not solid as it appears in the online pics as the weaving has some white in it so it's a softer look - which I personally love. This would be an exceptional rug inside and outside the home!

Bought the 2.5x 20 for my stairs ( 11+landing) and they turned out beautiful! I was just a tad shy of covering the landing but if we would have pulled the carpet tighter it would have been perfect.

I agree with the other reviewers, the rug became fuzzy looking after only a few weeks. (I have a small one in my kitchen.) I did not have this problem with the Catamaran stripe rug, which I keep outside. Disappointing.

I LOVE this pattern, Birmingham Black, and have bought the regular cotton version as a stair runner but had problems cleaning. I wanted to try the pattern again for a covered area outdoor and mudroom entryway. This feels GREAT underfoot...not like some of the other indoor/outdoor rugs, not plastic-y at all, yet it REALLY pills, gets fuzzy and keeps it from looking like crisp black and white stripes! You have to vacuum daily to try to avoid this...but doesn't stay fresh looking. I wish I stuck with the cotton for the indoor area and did something different for outdoors.
