Lifetime 5-Gallon Multi-Purpose Water Cooler

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ice lasts really long in this cooler, great for solo road trips. Good for homemade root beer, but the dispenser gets sticky. Nothin some warm soapy water cant fix! No plastic taste, unless you eat the plastic of course lol

I bought 2 of these, and after just one use, on one of them the tapper stays stuck open and the other is leaking

I bought this because my soft sided cooler died and I needed a replacement quickly. I thought the spout in the bottom would be a good attribute for the ball field, but it leaks like nobody’s business. I will try to find a cap for it, but I’m not impressed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this a couple months ago and have taken it camping multiple times. The shape makes it super easy to pack with all our other gear. Hold ice for ice water WAY longer than I expected (a couple days) even in warmer temps. Had a small issue with the spigot and customer service shipped a new one out immediately. If your looking and are an outdoors person this is definitely worth the money!

This was purchased to use for parties to keep our drinks cold and it works great! We were going on a road trip from Utah to West Virginia and didn't have a ton of extra room so we used this as a cooler to keep our food cold. It took us 2 1/2 days to get there and we never had to replace the ice. We were so happy with the performance of this cooler. When we got to our destination the new neighbor saw our cooler and thought it was the "coolest" thing. We ordered them the same water cooler and had it delivered. They use it every day and keep it on the back porch with iced tea. This hold a lot of drink and makes it easy for their kids. We have made friends for life. Thanks Lifetime

I bought this cooler 3 weeks ago, held ice and water great for a camping trip in Zion National Park in 105 degree weather. I had an issue with the spigot on my second trip out, called lifetime to place a warranty claim and was send a new spigot in only a couple days. Great customer service, and a great product.

We’ve tested out the ice retention and it was able to hold ice for 5 days with only a bit of melting. We love the handles as our favorite feature to keep your knuckles from hitting the sides. All around a great product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lifetime Products sent me this 5 Gal Ice Chest/Water Cooler to test out and write a review. To be honest I’ve been waiting for a cooler this size for a long time. We do a lot of kayak camping and have wanted a cooler that fit down inside of the cargo area of our Lifetime Yukon and Stealth Pro Kayaks we have without taking up all the room. We were using the Lifetime 28 QT cooler but it was a little big. This new 20 QT or 5Gal cooler is perfect. We packed it with 8 frozen water bottles, some drinks and lunch items for a three-day kayaking trip through Glen Canyon, Colorado river. Unfortunately, they closed the river due to wind so we spent our time hiking in the area and kayaking a little closer to home in 100°F heat. This cooler kept everything cold for two and a half days sitting in the back of my truck in direct sunlight most of the time. In the end there was still a little ice left in the once frozen water bottles. I also tried it out as a water cooler by putting 15Lbs of Crushed ice in it and filling it up with “Cold” water. Two days later there was still Ice and of course Ice Cold water! Unfortunately, my wife has laid claim to this cooler because it is sturdy, light, easy to move around and keeps things cool for extended periods of time. Now I’m going to have to go buy me another one. Pros: • Size • Light Weight • Rope Handels • Ice retention • Doesn’t tip or slide in the truck or kayak • Doesn’t leak or drip from the spigot • Cleanable spigot Cons: (Kind Of) • Have to release the latches to keep the water flowing good through the spigot because of the air tight seal. • Doesn’t come with the drain cap to replace the spigot with when using it as a cooler (sold separately)

I don’t like drinking cold water, so I can’t speak to how well it does keeping water cold, but it is very convenient and the perfect size to have in the car with all my other camping gear. Five gallons is a great amount to make sure that myself and my friends all have our hiking packs filled with water. For food storage, I had ice and food In there for over 24 hours in 90° plus weather. Most of the ice remained frozen and my food stayed cold. This cooler did exactly what it’s supposed to do and I’m pleased with the quality.

This is my third Lifetime cooler purchase and what a great product for the money. The coolers continue to be top quality that competes with the top brand expensive molded coolers. I had a problem with the 5 gallon water cooler valve sticking shortly after purchase. But that turned out not to be a problem at all . It took one quick phone call to customer service and a replacement valve was sent out the same week. Replaced it according to the instructions with no problem. Thanks for a trouble free warranty and customer service.

I love that the Lifetime Water Cooler is so comfortable to carry, holds ice for a day (!!) and is easy enough that my littles can get water from it themselves. It’s going to be in the backdrop of our summer for sure!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I part time as a fly fishing guide and put this cooler to the test. I was very happy with how it performed. Pros: extremely durable, easy to carry and refill, lightweight (when empty), and great for multi use. Cons: the spout seemed a little less quality and if I expect problems moving forward it would be there. I found it to hold ice and keep water cold better then expectations but not as well as other high quality coolers like yeti, Rtic or canyon coolers. My overall impression was I love how easy it was to pop off the top and fill with water and ice. By far the best feature. Easy to use for water storage or fill it with ice and drinks. Easy to carry and not too bulky. Spout seemed a little cheap and feel like it could leak over time. Great product that I’d recommend. Will have years of use like all lifetime products.

Whether it be doing yard work or going to an amusement park. The handles are strong and long enough for two people to carry the cooler side by side. The water stayed cool and fresh in the 80+ degree temperatures. The spigot for water is easy to use and well designed. We also love that we can change the spigot out for a plug to use this as a drink cooler when we don’t want to take water with us. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all, I am a huge fan of Lifetime products. Their customer service and quality have always been stellar. This cooler is no exception! We used this cooler for a family party and mixed some juice in it for the kids. I wasn't worried about the juice leaking even with the kids getting it themselves. I wasn't worried about the juice going moldy in the spout since the spout is removable to be able to wash. I liked the way the cooler clips together to keep your drinks cold. I was worried about the flow of water since the cooler seals so tight to keep the drinks cold, but we haven't had that problem. My husband has now been using it to take to work to refill reusable water bottles instead of buying plastic water bottles. The water stays cold for days, even with very little ice. I love the size, its shorter and square, so it feels more stable to ride in my car with the water or juice in it. The locking lid helps with that security too! I would recommend this cooler we have found we have already saved money (and cooler space) not needing to buy waterbottles. This is our go to cooler!

I have been using this cooler for almost 2 weeks now and I absolutely love how versatile it is! It’s perfect for quick beach trips and even fun kayak trips!! If you’re looking for a smaller cooler this is definitely the one!
