Rubbermaid 2030353 Food Storage Container, Plastic, Clear

These came with stickers on them which took an hour for me to get adhesive off them. I REALLY dislike vented lids. The company used to make these containers without which were much easier to clean. Maybe SOME people like microwaving food in plastic? I'm not one of those people because chemicals leach out and I don't care who makes it. It also leads to an early demise of the product, once again I don't care who makes it. Vented lids means a much bigger hassle cleaning the lid.

I love having the lid stored connected to the bottom of the container because it makes it easy to find and not lose in the stacks of other containers. Its also easy to open and close. I can definitely see getting multiples of these.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have to admit that I've only purchased one brand of plastic container for several years because I've had a hard time finding any other brand that doesn't leak. And when I saw that this Rubbermaid container had a vent in the top of the lid, my first thought was "this is going to leak". Imagine my surprise when I filled the container full of water and tipped it upside down...and nothing dripped! I do like the little vent in the lid so I can warm things up in it without having to open the lid itself. I also like the size as it fits most of the meals I take to work. So there isn't really anything to not like about this container. It's great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] rubbermaid makes a nice quality product you can count on. the 5 cup sqquare storage container is exactly that. i do find this size to be very useful. the weight of the plastic is just right- you can still see through it and see contents, but heavy enough you know its going to last. nice sure seal lid

The lids are easy to remove from the container and that is great for me because my hands aren't the strongest anymore. The lids fit perfectly into each other, so they are all clustered together and easy to find, and Ofcourse the boxes fit into each other, so space-saving, practical and Ofcourse also easy to find. He says when I use aluminum foil to store food it ends up tasting like metal the next day. So I appeased him and got these and omg, he’s so happy! And he’s right, this really keeps the food fresh and it’s the perfect size.

It's great to store leftovers in the fridge and then you can pop the top and leave the lid on to heat them up in the microwave without worrying about your food splattering. It's also freezer safe so it's great to prep meals in at the beginning of the week and then freeze until you are ready to thaw and heat up. I love that the lid color is red because it's really easy to find it in my drawer of lids. This is a very versatile item that has so many great uses in the kitchen.
