Defective out of the box
Unfortunately my iron was DOA. After turning it on the first time, I was met with a blinking red water light and the power immediately switched off. The sole plate never got warm either. Funny thing is I bought this iron to replace my 3 year old pro steam model since the boiler stopped working on that model ( heat works, but no steam). I'll be returning this new model and trying another company.

I have had one before - approximately 10 yrs ago and had nothing but problems, leaking. You had replaced it once and still the same problem. This one I saw at a Retreat and they said they had no problems...so I am trying again. So far and really really like it!

Fantastic tool - saves time!
The steam station is SO MUCH BETTER than a conventional iron. I make lap quilts for hospice and church banners. This is a great tool that will flatten fabric and seams. Great time-saver!

If only it didn’t have auto shut off!!! When quilting and crafting, I’m constantly up and down to press fabrics after sewing. Only to have to wait for the iron to reheat. This is my 4th Rowenta steam station in 25 years. but the only one with auto shut off. Do I love it when it’s on? Absolutely!! Hate the auto shut off? Yep!! Let me have the option of using auto shut off!!

Watch the trigger for steam
The only negative so far with this iron is, it doesn’t have a constant steam option. You either have to pull the trigger underneath the handle or press the button on top to get a shot of stain for however, long you hold the buttons. The button underneath the handle is easily triggered by accident when moving the iron around and can cause Burns so it takes a lot of training to not accidentally hit that button when moving the iron around the cloth or ironed item and having your hand nearby straightening or smoothing wrinkles

Have had Rowena’s for 30 years
This is my 3rd Rowenta. I upgraded to the steam pro. I am a quilter which means I may Not iron for 15 min but with the new iron it shuts off. I would have never bought this iron Had I known that. I loved them before but not now.

The only way to iron
Once you use Rowenta Steam Pro You will not be happy using any other iron. It makes the job so much easier. It's efficient and safe.
