I pre-ordered Hi-Maintenance wanting the paler color and received one much more pink. Maybe my teen will like it.

Good 2 coat coverage
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like having a white nail polish on hand at all times. I’ll use it for nail art, or sometimes as a base color. This one by Essie is great. I only need two coats for full coverage & opacity. It is shiny, but I always add a topcoat regardless.

Solid color. Not long lasting.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really liked this color (Blanc 008). It’s a true white. I like the brush, it’s easy to apply a full coat on each nail. It dries quickly. The color is also really opaque so one good layer is all you need. Multiple layers would make it very thick. There is a shine to it as well. I’m not very good with the color white (clothes, nail polish, etc) because I immediately stain it. I was writing a note with a black pen and somehow it got on my nail, and it’s not washing off. Essie nail polishes tend to chip easily on me and I don’t do crazy things with my hands. I’ll take a shower and come out with chipped nail polish. For that reason I can’t depend on Essie polish. It’s good for a day or two but after that, I need to redo my nails.

runny and takes forever to dry
i started painting my nails in thin coats with this polish over an hour ago. the color is very sheer and took multiple coats to show up, and all of the polish drips into the sidewalls of my make instead of staying. it is very runny and is taking a very, very long time to dry.

Spending over an hour on your nails only to have the polish run into the sidewalls and struggle to dry is incredibly disappointing. Whether a shade is intended to be a buildable sheer or a full-coverage cream, it should never feel unmanageable or take an excessive amount of time to dry. While this is a sheer color, it should be the consistency of any normal nail enamel. After 2 coats your color should be perfect! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What a great opaque nail polish. I just love this brand! This goes on smooth and seems like it levels out evenly. I know it’s not self leveling but it seems like it just lays so nice on the nail once you swipe it on. I used two coats and it’s solid white. It doesn’t stay tacky, either. You can do one layer, wait like ten minutes and then another and it dries completely. I’ve always loved this brand, it’s one of the best out there. It stays on the nails and doesn’t chip off easily. Seems to last a full week before having to remove it and do them again. Also can use it for french manicure tips if you know what you’re doing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Essie nail polish has always been one of my favorite brands so I was excited to try another product from them. The white polish has great pigmentation and looks great with just two applications. It has a nice shiny smooth finish and dries pretty quickly. It last without any chips for two days for me which is pretty good for my nails. My hands are in water and cleaning things multiple times a day or working in the garden. Would probably last longer with a base and top coat. Comes off easily with nail polish removal and a cotton round.

True classic color

It’s easy to use and applied well and not streaky. However I am hard on nail polish and within a couple days the paint chips off. I would recommend Essie paints though!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don’t like this nail polish at all. Other than the color the formula is way too thick. Because the polish is so thick. I have a hard time getting it to get smooth across the nail. It apply lumpy and streaky. The drying time is average but it could be quicker which makes it chips fast. Almost immediately it chip after drying and came of even more after a shower.

While we’re happy the color was to your liking, it’s clear the application and drying time were a real struggle for you. This does not sound right for any of our nail enamels, including this one. The consistency should allow the color to flow easily onto the nail in a thin coat. Applying 2 thin coats is key to getting just the right amount on the nails…layers that are too thick are very prone to chipping. Classic mani formula

Isn't streaky, or yellowish
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love Essie nail polish in color 008 Blanc, it isn't streaky, or yellowish like other white polishes. I like wearing it alone, and as a base color for nail designs. It's not bubbly, it goes on smoothly, and doesn't chip easily. It's nice for fingernails and toe nails, especially in warmer months when I wear alot of sandals. The white goes with any outfit, and adds a bit of sophistication to my hands and toes.

The brush is the perfect size to distribute product evenly on your nail without getting on the skin surrounding the area. I did take a couple coats to get a nice solid color or you can go with a single coat for a more opaque look.

Dries fast, full coverage
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off I like that Essie is a vegan brand. I only had to apply 2 layers for full coverage. Didn't take long to dry in between applying. The brush it has caused it to apply smoothly. It has been a week and a half and I haven't had any chipping. It also looks just as good as the day I applied it. It is the perfect, classic white.

Great shade of white
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a regular nail polish, not a gel. It has a strong scent just incase you are sensitive to smells. It is the same as as any other nail polish when it comes to texture, consistency and application. It a beautiful shade of white, color name is blanc 008. It works as expected on a smooth clean nail. I took a picture. The thumb is the example of what it looks like on a clean base nail. The other finger has a base coat of nail fix applied and then the nail polish. You can see it is kinda streaky. Would not recommend putting a clear nail strengthen or broken nail fix polish beneath this polish as it looks bad. After a couple of days it did start chipping off of both the finger and thumb. Might work better for others, but it did not work for me.

We can see that over the 3 coats of the Nail Patch, the results were not as smooth. However, applied over a base coat, after 2 thin coats the color should be perfect. Followed by a top coat, your color should last through the week.
