Q: How do you load the tape thru the cutting edge? I've wasted so much tape trying to thread it right. I even watched the video. I'm thinking mine is a bad one. please help!

A: Great Question! The Scotch Heavy Duty Packaging Tape will be loaded onto the tape hub with the adhesive side facing down. You can thread the tape between the metal plate and the roller with the smooth side of the tape going against the roller. The tape is now loaded and ready for use. Q: What is core diameter of the tape that fits this dispenser? Hard to tell from pictures. All your tapes I have looked at also do not list core diam., only width & length.

We purchased this product a month ago and used it to seal boxes we were using to move. Everything looked great, until we went to move. The tape kept falling off of the boxes and the boxes were opening while being transported to and from the truck. It was a nightmare! We can't believe that what used to be the "best go to product in the business" fell apart as much as it did.

This is not like similar tape guns you might find at a job site that are easy to use. Better to use the standard plastic roll cutter that comes with heavy duty tape than this. Also, sharp edge puts holes in every box unnecessarily when I cut off the end, which leaves tiny holes that tiny bugs could infiltrate. I do not recommend.

This just doesn't do it. No better than a roll of tape with the cutter on it. It constantly doesn't cut causing me to have to get scissors, it will sometimes jump off the cutter wheel causing me to have to hunt for the tape end and restring on the wheel. Just simply a waste and not good.

3M Tape Dispenser is not a hit! Tape sticks to the guide and when you get it unstuck then you have a terrible time getting it cut. Worst design ever. They must have had a 3 year old design this one. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS ONE.

Wish I would have read the reviews first. It’s a tape gun, what could go wrong right? Ha! You end up wasting an incredible amount of tape pulling it off the guide because it sticks so bad to it. Not what anyone needs while packing. I’d like to tape the genius’s up that made this trash.

I bought this tape dispenser because it seemed like it would be better than the standard one I have used successfully in the past. It is awful and the worst item I have purchased in awhile. It is very hard to load and then once loaded we tried every which way and it would not work right unless you contort yourself into an awkward position. I was also very worried I would cut myself. It went right in the trash.
