I love Tramontina products, and this beautiful, tri-ply Dutch oven is no exception. We have a glass cooktop, so we can't use our Tramontina enameled cast iron Dutch oven on it. (I use that on my outside gas grill.) This pot really does the job: I can start a dish on the cookt, then move it to the oven. So versatile.

I,m 82 and needed to replace my 15lb cast iron pot. After a month it has totally fit the bill. It handles my Sunday Italian dinner with ease. From frying sausage, braciole, and meat balls to adding 3 cans of tomatoes and simmering for 3 hours, it hits the mark. the only problem I have is after cooking is to not being able to leave the sauce in the pan while enjoying the sumptuous meal your pan allowed me cook because of acidity. Being Italian, I worked around it. Could not be happier. Also have your cast iron Braiser.

I bought this Dutch oven a little more than 2 years ago. The poor thing has been working hard ever since. It's the right size for cooking a bag of dry beans, a pot of chili, soup, meaty pasta sauce or boiling up a pack of pasta. I like using it so much that I ordered another one for my daughter this past Christmas. I do wish it had a flared rim to make pouring a little nicer. That said, it cooks well enough that I came back to write this review & order the 8qt clad stock pot with the matching pasta strainer, plus a 2qt clad sauce pan. If those work out, a braiser will be next.

Love love love this cookware set. Had been using a stainless set I purchased 50 years ago while in high school along with mismatched hand me downs from my mom years ago. They had all run their course and some had broken handles and missing handles. Loved the quality of my old pans and was afraid nothing could compare. I was wrong. I researched stainless cookware for about a year and finally felt confident to purchase this cookware made in Brazil. Have had no problems with food sticking and clean up is easy with stainless cookware cleaner. Pans heat up quickly and uniformly on just low or medium heat. Loved the cookware set and bought the Dutch oven too.
