Q: Is this cookware made with lead?

  • A: We test our cookware by third party labs. All our tests always pass strict FDA standards for cookware. Our foundry is among the most advanced in the world and it's very efficient at cleaning iron of any possible impurities from the virgin raw materials. We do not contain heavy metals not compliant to USA standards for cookware -- there are always minuscule mg/kg traces of natural elements in iron and other metals, but we pass all the standards for cookware and food-contact in USA, European Union, Germany and Australia (which are all the tests we've performed, the most strict, and we've never had to "retry" or resubmit).

  • A: Victoria Pans are not machined smooth. They come with a sandblasted skin finish. With proper heat and fat for foods being cooked, you should have no problem with food release. For delicate foods such as eggs, heat skillet on low heat (or medium low on some stoves). Allow to heat for 5-7 minutes. Then add cooking fat/oil, then the eggs. Allow a "crust" to form on the protein before using a thin metal spatula to lift the egg.

Family Cooking

Five stars! Perfect for family cooking. I have another smaller cast iron piece that is good for 1-2 people but this one is perfect for 1 to 6! Love making rice dishes on it. The best part about the Victoria cast iron skillets is that they use top quality iron and they use Non-GMO flaxseed oil, so it has the best base coat I've seen.
