The resilient core of VG10 super steel is protected by a stunning 64-layer flower Damascus pattern.The CRYODUR blades feature exceptional sharpness and durability thanks to their innovative, icehardening treatment. Then, artisans hand-hone the blades with the historic Honbazuke method. This attention to detail translates into precision cutting for MIYABI Kaizen users.The blade is balanced by a refined D-shaped handle made of black linen Micarta. Perfection

Received these as a wedding gift. Absolutely love how well they cut. The knives are so sharp that they just glide through meat without tearing or ripping. The VG10 steel is sharp and stays sharp. The Damascus design, and the traditional D shaped handle, lets you know these are no ordinary steak knives. Always get raves when my guests use these. Not many have ever used Japanese knives, let alone Japanese steak knives.

This is an amazing steak knife set. The blades are so gorgeous. The Damascus layered steel give a super sharp blade edge but also have a very unique pattern. The handles are lightweight and very comfortable to hold. I love that they are straight blades so they can be resharpened when the time comes. I love how effortlessly the cut through food without tearing like a serrated blade. The attractive storage case is a bonus so they dont get banged around in the drawer.

When you're serious about meat -
Nothing like a great steak knife that let's guests know you're serious about the food. Having the right tools - not only to cook with, but eat with - adds to the enjoyment. The Damascus-style, 65-layer blades, sharpening to a tight 10-degree +/- angle on each side clearly announces the start of something good. Even if it's a Caprese salad with tender tomatoes and springy cheese. These knives will make the experience that much more enjoyable. At least it does with my family. I love great steak knives!
