Like coral reefs along a sandy shoreline, this breathtaking oversized area rug by Nourison is awash with color. Q: The description says this rug is 0.5 inch heigh. what thickness rug pad is best to use with it? I want it to be comfortable but not too thick people could trip on it.

  • A: Besides the waffle weave non-skid flat pad, you can use the RugLoc, which has a bit of a cushion. Cushion is 1/16 of an inch.

Misleading description

The description and photos are misleading. Our Ivory/gray rug had bunch of blue/purple mixed in. The exact opposite of what people want when they look for calm shades. Returned.

It's ok

My husband likes this rug a lot. I'm less thrilled. The colors do not blend smoothly, more like a digitaized photo where the pixels are showing. The rug was rolled so the back was out. Which means the edges curl up and I can't get them to lay flat, which means we will trip over them making them worse, or have to use tape to hold them down and maybe damage my flooring. I gotta work on that. The pile is really flat. This started as a rug for over $800. I would expect more for that price but it was on sale and basically we got what we paid for. Anyway, it works in our house and it will be easy to vacuume with such short treads.

Corners Fray Quickly

I purchased this less than a year ago. It was perfect for a few months until all the corners started to fray. It’s not in a high traffic area so the fraying shouldn’t happen this quickly.

Fun and Stylish

Love the color! It pops in my son's room. I like the grays, and neutral colors but my son who is 6 almost 7 of course loves color. This gave his room a pop! The corners are still pretty stubborn but I am not for sure if it is because I kept it rolled up for so long. It is soft, not rough and my son loves to play on it.

good thickness and size but meh pattern

the texture and size are good. I'm going to keep in where I put it until I find something I love. I expected the patterns to be more gradient, but it looks pixelated. hard to explain but imagine the rug was a photo of an abstract image and then instead of a high quality zoom, they just resized it so it became pixelated. One section looks a bit like a blob. Also, lots of bits floated out when we unrolled it. I inhaled some carpet fiber or something. so take care and vacuum after you open it.

Beautiful But No Grip

It's a beautiful rug but it doesn't have any grip at the bottom so the rug slides all over the place on hard floors.
