Description

ZWILLING Pro is the most user-friendly knife available to market. The unique blade shape and ergonomic bolster are the result of years of experience in knife making, and the rigorous study of how knives are used. A unique curved bolster supports the professional pinch grip, with thumb and index finger on the blade, for safe cutting and less fatigue. The blade was redesigned with a broader curve in the front to facilitate the rocking motion of Western cutting, while the straight back is ideal for the Asian chopping motion. The full length of the blade can be used when cutting and can be sharpened from bolster to tip Designed in Italy by Matteo Thun and made in Germany by ZWILLING J.A. Henckels, the company that sets the standard for exceptional cutlery worldwide. The ZWILLING Pro Santoku Knife is a Japanese style chef's knife that is perfect for most kitchen tasks. The blade shape lends itself particularly well to chopping and slicing. The hollow, granton edge helps prevent food from sticking to the blade.

    Fabulous addition to our collection

    This style of knife is my personal favorite knife blade. It was a great addition to our other knives. The quality of the steel and the workmanship of the knife are impeccable.

    Should not be in the Pro Line series

    I am a very experienced cook that owns many quality knives and has used many more, I love the pro bread and chefs knife. This knife is 100% a disappoint. To start with it is not a true Santoku shape. Instead of a solid confidence building blade. The blade sounds like a piece of tin. The blade was dull after just a few uses and difficult to sharpen. Weight distribution is overrated (IMO) as with a pinch grip you can usually adjust to get comfortable. Not in this case, the handle is extremely heavy as compared to the lightweight blade. It looks great in pictures but as soon as you pick it up. It feels as if it constructed with low quality materials. Sorry Zwilling, this is not nearly good enough for the Pro Series.

    What a difference

The difference between this and my old knife is *chef's kiss* ! The cuts are so effortless and precise and prepping dinner is much more enjoyable.
