I will follow the care instructions and I’ll write a follow up about the quality after being use. We have bbq during the summer and it will use it to cut the meat in thin slices for the “tacos” and during the holidays for the turkey and prime rib. Nice presentation.

Purchased this to replace my electric knife. The carving set is perfect to use on turkey, poultry and roasts. The Zwilling special formula steel, makes for a nice durable blade, with an edge that's easy to maintain and keep sharp. Speaking of sharp, I read the angle on this knife is at 15 degrees on each side, which is actually the same angle that extremely sharp Japanese knives are set at. The one piece construction makes for a durable, reliable knife, resulting in even slicing, and professional results. I also appreciate the molded handle which is not only comfortable, but hygienic as well, because it is free of the rivets which are known to collect bacteria.

I have used Henkel 4 Star products for decades and was not disappointed with the quality and performance of the 2 piece carving set. I noticed that the fork has been redesign with a slight flair to the tines (my older fork had longer tines in parallel) but the 4 Star line is still made only in Germany and the construction is superb. I definitely recommend this product.

I was entertaining and needed a carving set. I went straight for Zwilling. The name has always meant the best in quality cutlery to me. The forged German steel blades is very sharp. I get nice thin slices every time. The tines on the fork are sharp and slim so they dont tear the food. The handles are very comfortable and the texture gives me a good grip.

Unless of course you're giving it as a gift. This Four Star carving set is a keeper for a lifetime. It is made of steel that will last. The knife stays sharp for a long time and when the it finally needs to be resharpened, it can be. Not all steels can. There’s a reason the Four Star line has been a part of Zwilling’s lineup forever. It was designed with professionals in mind, so the focus was on safety, comfort and durability. The ‘grippy’ polypropylene handle is proportionate to the blade and the work - therefore no excess weight. The blade steel and method of construction is proprietary and at the forefront of technology. The blade can both take a beating and hold an edge, ideal for daily use and hard work. Although dishwasher safe, all knives perform and look better if they are hand washed. I’ve had a Four Star in my collection for decades. And it still looks almost new.

I love this carving set because the handle is very comfortable to use with it's curve and the material that it's made out of. The carving fork makes it very easy to pick up the meat that I'm cutting with the sharpness and the width of the tines.

Four Star knives are very popular because they are sturdy forged knives made in Germany from specially formulated steel that resists corrosion. But in addition to that they have a unique molded handle that is exceptionally comfortable, nonslip and secure in your hand. The carving set is great to have for turkeys, roasts and even fajita meat. The knife is long and thin to help get nice thin slices and the fork helps you to keep the meat in position but keep your hands at the right distance. It's nice to have the right tools for the job!

This Four Star carving set gets my 4 stars! Used this again for a family duck dinner over the weekend and the set performs great! Slices right through the meat and easy to pick up with the fork! I keep this set handy, not only for holidays, but for Sundays, family meals and entertaining!

Four Star carving set is a perfect combo! The carving knife is forged from high carbon German steel and made in Germany which means it's sharp, is going to stay sharp and last a lifetime. Sharpness and a narrow blade make it the perfect tool for thin slices of turkey, ham or roast. The molded handle is extremely durable but is much lighter than its three rivet "brother" Pro. A lighter knife is very handy when carving a 20 lb turkey! I've found a carving fork to be an essential tool and it's so much easier to hold onto a big bird with rather than a dinner fork.
