Very unique looking pan. Reminds me of a mini braiser! Great for oven to table serve. Looks great, and holds onto the heat. Love making cornbread in it, as well as other casseroles, dips, and frittatas. Perfect size for family of four!

I love everything Staub, but this is the cutest covered baking dish! I love the matte black, it is my favorite and the color most of my Staub pieces are. This is great for warm dips and single servings for a gathering or potluck. They go from the oven to the table and look great doing it! Easy to clean as well with the black enamel finish!

Great presentation and serving vessel

I love that this small cast iron vessel has a lid because it makes for a great presentation on my table. Also, because it's cast iron, it retains heat really well, so my food stays hot for a long time after it comes out of the oven or off the stove. Another thing about this particular cast iron is that it is enameled, which means that the upkeep that is typically part of cast iron cookware doesn't exist because it is naturally non-stick.

Enameled inside and out, this li'l guy has multiple uses and cleans quite easily. Holds heat like a champ!

I love the Staub round covered cast iron line baking dishes for their versatility and great looks! Just a personal preference for family and friend gatherings. I like how they look on the table, and how easily they go from the oven to the table. These are good for hot, cold, and room temperate dishes and are so easy to clean!

Good size for two

This baking dish/braiser is a perfect way to serve the right amount without a lot of leftover. Also good for side dishes. The lid fits snugly, retains moisture and self bastes. Serve directly from the dish, it looks beautiful on the table. The enamel coated cast iron is easy to clean, dishwasher safe. Cast iron is the best for slow cooking.

Individual braiser? Awesome!

What a gorgeous way to present individual servings of the most heart warming comfort foods. Excellent for make-ahead dishes. Chicken Cacciatore. Cassoulet. Japanese Kare. Prepare and portion. Pop in the oven for heating and finishing. Roasting vegetables and even rice side dishes do very well in this pan. And for dessert, just pull out a favorite recipe. The heat management properties of cast iron can't be beat.

My favorite hot dip dish!

This little baker is great for those cheesy dips and I love that it has a lid making it easier to bring to pot lucks and dinner parties and the cast iron keeps my dip hot even in transit so no need to warm up when I arrive. Staub cast iron has such a great feel you can feel and see the quality. It heats evenly and cleans up easily.

versatile

I love using this pan for shallow frying, braising and baking. It's a great size for sticky buns! The innovative black matte interior allows for even heating, browning and great release of food. You will use less fat when cooking! Gorgeous color, tight fitting lid. Stove, to oven to table. great pot!

Baking Beauty

I love the beautiful shiny finish on Staub; it such an eye catcher. But the inside is the real selling point with its black enamelling; it browns beautifully, keeps dishes hot and cleans up like a breeze. This dish is perfect for a pie, but my favorite is any hot appetizer. You can begin your dish on the stove and finish it in the oven. Straight to the table for perfect serving!

Not Just for Pie

I bought this to use as a baker but to be honest I use it mainly for other cooking jobs. The interior has Staub's famous black matte finish which sears beatifully. I use if for frying burgers and chicken breasts. I have also used it for quick stir frys. Oh and yes perfect for a pie crust, lid used to keep pie fresh!
