Beautiful and ergonomic
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I didn't intend to buy this knife when I walked in the store. Pictures don't really how much bigger and ergonomic the handle is. I had a Miyabi prep knife with a much smaller handle. Using this is a joy.

Best utility knife
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was using this knife to cut some tomatoes when I realized how sharp it was. I wastes no time and started making diced tomatoes for some pico de gallo. When it was all said and done. I felt like i did not have to work as hard cause the blade was doing most of the work. Over all great buy for any cook, new or seasoned veteran.

my go to prep knife
I love the size and feel of this knife. It fits right in between my paring knife and chefs knife. I use it for all my veggie prep. The unique take on the D shaped handle is very comfortable both on the board and when working in hand. The steel goes through a double hardening process making an exceptionally hard sharp blade. The blade is sharpened to a very acute angle giving me nice thin slices and cuts. I love the Damascus patterning on the blade. It really shows the artistry and craftsmanship that goes into this knife.

Handy little knife
This is a very stylish knife that is not only beautiful, but super functional as well. The handle feels like it was made for me, but I would warn any left-handers out there that this might not be the knife line for you because it would be uncomfortable. I like how it is longer than a paring knife, but still nimble and maneuverable.

The Meiji line of Bob Kramer knives is an asian inspired look on a western knife. The edge angle and the steel are in keeping with a typical western style Kramer production knife. My go to knife is the Meiji 8" chef knife, so I thought this would be the perfect addition to my collection. It is now my daughters favorite go to knife. The blade ss forged from a core of FC61 steel and surrounded by 100 layers of nickel and stainless producing a beautiful Damascus pattern. The D-shaped Japanese-style handle, made from charcoal pakkawood, provides a secure grip and excellent balance. This blade is razor sharp and will do any job in the kitchen.

Everyone needs a medium sized utility knife for the kitchen! For the jobs where you do not want a small or a large 8-10 inches, but something in between. This Kramer is beautiful, yet durable and extremely sharp.

This utility knife is amazing. So sharp and such a comfortable length. The Kramer Meji blades are made with an FC61 steel core and 100 additional layers of stainless steel and nickel that the ladder damascus pattern. The handle is comfortable an perfectly weighted. You'll be amazed at how sharp this is.

Something in the way it moves
There is something fluid about this knife. The proportions of the handle to the blade. It is not a shape or length I normally like, but this maneuvers more like a long paring knife. I've even had folks use it as a table knife for steaks and chops. It is knife that warrants love. The Meiji line is as tough as it is beautiful. Made of 101 layers of steel, and ice hardened in the process, this tough knife will work hundreds of menus before it needs to be sharpened. The patterned blade signals its Damascus-style layering. The bright stainless is eye catching. The handle is a little longer than traditional handles. Great for larger hands or folks who don't use a pinch grip.

Perfect Size In Between Jobs
This is a great knife for all those "in between" tasks. There's so many times when I'm needing to cut a smaller vegetable, piece of fruit or meat that my chef knife is simply too big. That's the perfect time to grab this utility knife. The handle fits perfectly in my hand and the shorter, extremely sharp blade is a great. It's made from an extemely durable steel, FC61, so I don't have to worry about chipping the blade.
