Staub Ceramic 9-inch Pie Dish - Dark Blue

this is by far the most beautiful pie pan I have ever seen. very sturdy construction as well. the blue is stunning, glossy and vivid. I was gifted this and I absolutely love it. I will treasure it always.

My wife and I received one of these 9 inch pie pans when we got married. It was one of these gifts that we looked forward to most when we saw it was selected off of our gift registry - we’re both big pie fans! We were especially pleased to get a blue one, as that color matches our kitchen colors perfectly. We finally had a chance to prepare a pie for Thanksgiving, and when the chance arose we jumped to bring a pie made with this dish. The ceramic glaze of the dish makes it a nonstick pan, so we weren’t worried about greasing it or the pie crust. Good thing too! This pie dish made a beautiful crust, and our peach pie was easy to cut and remove without scratching the dish. We had enough pie for 7 people to enjoy a slice and they all loved the flavor and the crust. One of them even asked where we got the dish from! So far, we are extremely pleased - enough so that I decided to both write a review and create an account here so we can order more dishes of similar quality and use them for ourselves and for when we host others!

These are gorgeous and perfect in every way, EXCEPT that they are much smaller than I thought they would be. To the point, that when they arrived, I looked at them and said 'holy crap, did I order the wrong thing?' Too small to use current recipes without adjusting, which is not going to happen. I shouldn't have to do this with a Staub product. I won't be using these for PIES, which is in the name, but for other things that don't need a pie dish. First time I've ever been disappointed by Staub. I read the other reviews but assumed that the '5' stars meant it was just a bit smaller. Nope...

Love my beautiful blue pie dish! The fluted edges are wonderful for pie crust and the glaze finish is so easy to clean with hot water. I especially think the substantial size handles are so smart when you make a beautiful creation and don't want to touch the crust or finished product with a mitt.

I frequently make homemade pot pies, and purchased this as an alternative to a glass pan that burns the bottom. I am love! Excellent heat conduction for a brown crust with no burnt spots. Plus, cleanup is a snap!
