Regalo Extra Wide Easy Open Metal Walk Through Baby Gate

Took 12 days to receive the item. I have bought this brand in the past and have been satisfied. Not even a week old and the weld at the door that attaches to the frame is broken at the seam. Can no longer use to open or close and is sharp not safe at all! Waiting for a response from the manufacturer

The welding broke only a year after buying and installing! So now I have to find another one. In 15 years I’ve never had to replace a baby gate like this before. It’s complete junk!

This gate is absolutely ridiculous with its size options. You have the gate and 2 choices of extensions, 4” and 12”. That’s a HUGE size difference with nothing in between. The 12” was too big, and the 4” is too small. I was able to make do with the 4” but the adjusters are really too far out leaving a pretty sizable gap between the wall and the gate frame that a baby could definitely stick their head through. Thankfully this is for my almost 2 and a half year old so I’m not worried about that so much, and and keeping the dogs out of the living room. I am really annoyed because I have another regale gate that broke that I bought this to replace, and that one had several different sized extensions to choose from and combine in different ways. This gate fails with the extension choices and doesn’t really fit the size of opening it states. It’s basically the high end of the size range or the lowest, with no in between.

Stays In Place, Secure, Good Value! This Has Various Mounting options such As By tension Or Mounted Fittings For The Adjusters To Fit In To Be Much More Secure For Children. Can't Believe Somebody Complained About Altering Their Home By Using this To Keep Their Child Safe By Having To Put Screws In For One Option!

Isnt the best baby gate in the world but works as inteded. Have another one (very similar price) from the same manufacturer and this one is slightly better. The spring loaded locking mechanism feels flimsy and its easy to forget to engage it. My son hasn't been able to break it as yet. :D

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The extra wide, easy open safety gate from Regalo Baby has some nice features as well as a few limitations. I like the two additional adaptor pieces that enable you to make the gate extra wide to accommodate a variety of door/wall widths. I also appreciate the easy open gate feature. When assembling the gate, it didn't seem like the gate latch was going to line up properly with the rest of the gate to ensure a locking mechanism. However, once you firmly secure the gate in place, the latch meets the gate appropriately. The major limitation I see with this product is that it is not easily movable from location to location throughout the house. In order for it to securely stay in place, you must screw in 4 "cup" plastic pieces into the wall or door frame to meet the gate and keep it in place. I tried using the gate without the "cup" pieces, but I'm afraid my child could easily push it over. I was not thrilled with the idea of having to permanently alter my home by screwing things into the wall or banister. But, if you have a need for a more permanent gate, this product has some nice features.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have very wide door openings. It's hard to find a gate that fits. The Extra Wide Easy Open Safety Gate fit's perfect. It's wide, and tall enough to keep my baby safe. I absolutely love that I can add, or remove panels to make it fit in different areas of my home. The fact it can be opened in the middle was a huge selling point. I'm short, and climbing over gates is very hard. I can easily open, and close it as needed. I highly recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This gate was intended for human and furry children use. Set up took some time to get the tension correct but required no tools, which is a plus! The gate portion is easy enough for me to open with one hand while holding a squirming toddler. The bars are also very easy to clean and wipe down from wet, muddy dogs. We will be getting another one for the laundry room!

It was simple to install and because I have a wide point from my living room to the bedrooms it fit great. It can also be made to fit smaller rooms which is perfect if I need to move it at a later date.

Now, I can get things done and not be afraid if my son is going to hurt himself. This beautiful gate overall height is 30 ins and 11 pounds which will last your baby for a long time. I use it for my doorway and as a room divider and it gets the job done. I love it.

And the use of the gate is so easy and so simple I love The Swinging Door.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have an infant at home who has just started to crawl and is already trying to explore the world(that is his apartment) trying to go into rooms,kitchens and washrooms by himself. This had earlier forced me to keep him in the crib most times but I did want to provide him room to crawl around and explore his room at least. The only problem is, the doorway was too wide and none of the baby gates in the store near me were wide enough. This one solved the problem. The assembly was real simple and I got 90% of it done without any tools. It stays in place even when the baby put all his weight on it and is very easy for me and my 5 year old to open.

The width is extra wide so it fits those wide door ways or the top or bottoms of stairs. My daughter was also NOT able to climb over the top like the other gates. Good quality gate.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great gate to help keep my dog out of the kids rooms and also keep my baby girl from getting to the back rooms also. I like how easy it is to open and walk through, it then closes automatically behind you. The gate is adjustable so it fits perfect for any walkway you may have. My walkway is longer than most so it is great that this one is so wide. You can turn the handles at the end to adjust it to fit tight and snug. My girls love to hang on the gate but yet this one seems so durable that i think it will last awhile. Overall a great product.

Great...works very well for my Pyrenees. Have it in a doorway to keep her out of a part of the house.

This item is not as sturdy as I was hoping it would be and I was also disappointed that it doesn't spring back into place when you let go of it. I would've sent it back but needed a gate ASAP.

We got a new puppy and were using the old wooded gates. We had to step over them now we just open the gate and walk through. They stay in place even with a large puppy banging into them!

flimsy, didn't fit and way to expensive for the quality

bought this to prevent our puppy from getting into the kids playroom. Easy to install-can secure it with screws but pressure alone did the job. Great price for the product.
