Directions

Hold container 4 to 6 inches from skin to apply. Spray liberally and spread evenly by hand 15 minutes before sun exposure. For scalp and hair, spray directly on hair and exposed scalp. Do not spray directly into face. Spray on hands then apply to face. Do not apply in windy conditions. Use in a well-ventilated area. Reapply: After 80 minutes of swimming or sweating, Immediately after towel drying at least every 2 hours. Sun protection measures. Spending time in the sun increases your risk of skin cancer and early skin aging. To decrease this risk, regularly use a sunscreen with a Broad Spectrum SPF value of 15 or higher and other sun protectionmeasures including: Limit time in the sun, especially from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Wear long-sleeved shirts, pants, hats, and sunglasses.

    Summer staple

    Super easy to use on my part, my hairline, and anywhere where I might have thinner hair, or trimmed very short. At this point it's one of my summer staples. I personally don't find it to be greasy or leaving weird residues in my hair, but my hair is very dark and moderate density, so this may be different for people with different hair. Also no major sunscreen smell, as far as I've noticed, so I expect that it is friendly to people with sensory issues. I don't know if it has a white cast issue on skin, as I'm a pretty pale person, but having black hair I've noticed no discoloration after applying.

    Works great

    This is great for my toddler. She has very fine and blonde hair and her scalp is exposed to the sun. I spray this on and she doesn't get a sunburn. I also use it on myself and it works great for me too. My only complaint is that I wish the bottle was bigger for the amount of money they charge.

    I love SunBum products, but not this one. Made my hair greasy, sticky, and stiff. You should just add non-sticky, non-greasy SPF to the 3 in 1 spray(which is the greatest!)

    Feels Great On My Hair!

    I bought this because normal sunscreen makes my hair feel greasy when I put it on my scalp, and it's amazing! My hair feels moisturized but not weighed down, and it helps with frizz and blocks the sun from stripping the color from my hair. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a good hair/scalp sunscreen. Bonus, it has that signature Sun Bum scent that smells delicious!

    Smelled like skunk

    I bought this to take on a recent vacation to the beach. I never even got a chance to use it. The bottle leaked and had a horrible smell. It smelled very much like skunk spray. There was plenty of product that didn’t leak but I had to throw it away as there was no way I could something that smelled so bad. I was disappointed.

    I've been burned on my

    I've been burned on my scalp before so I ALWAYS wear a hat too. However, my hair is dyed and I use this to help keep the color and maintain it, as the sun will naturally bleach your hair especially when paired with pool or ocean water. Application is easy and simple -- it does give your hair a crunchy feeling but, I usually keep it up and wash it after so I don't care. It's an easy size to carry around and a little goes a long way.

    Greasiness ruined my hair

    Immediately made my freshly washed hair grease up. I have thin hair that is prone to oiliness if I don't wash it 4x a week so I don't know why I even tried this product. I will stick to wearing hats. I also hate the smell, but it didn't linger for too long.
