I enjoy Good & Gather chocolate coffee. When it’s brewing, the smell is honestly one of the best parts—it fills the room with this warm, sweet chocolate-coffee aroma that makes it hard to wait for that first cup. The flavor is smooth and lightly chocolatey without being too sweet or artificial. I usually drink it black, but it’s also really good with a little cream if I want something a bit richer. I actually brew this at my office sometimes, and now all my coworkers love it too—they always comment on how good it smells and end up wanting a cup. It’s become kind of a little office favorite. Overall, it’s an easy, comforting coffee that feels like a small treat and is definitely something I keep coming back to. I do find it a bit pricey for what is considered a store brand.

A delucious, real chocolaty flavor!
This coffee tastes like a mocha coffee drink, and is great for breakfast or a cozy treat. It has a noticeable chocolaty taste, and it smells nice too. Unlike some of Target's other flavored coffees released around the holidays which tasted artificial to me, the flavor of this blend tastes like real chocolate. I purchased it during a sale, and am going to grab another bag or two before it's gone.

Target keeps discontinuing all the "good" Good & Gather items. (Anyone else miss the Cherry Coke/Dr. Pepper caffeinated sparkling water dupes? Or the sweet potato tortilla chips?) Honestly, these coffees are the only reason I shop there - even though they get more and more expensive, thanks to...let's just call them "import taxes." (I miss the days when you could buy two and get a discount. Those are LONG gone!) But this coffee is good on its own, though a couple shakes of cinnamon or pumpkin spice (I know, but try it!) once you've scooped the grounds into the basket REALLY helps boost the flavor. For a more interesting flavor profile, I often LOVE to mix it with the G&G Toasted Coconut ground coffee - and will also sometimes add a couple shakes of cinnamon to that, helping boost the flavors of both! Give it a try!

This item arrived with an expired date on my original order. I called customer service who offered to send a replacement, and I accepted. I asked if they could please add a note to check the date before sending. And this replacement arrived again with an expired date. This is a common problem when I order perishable items, morte often than not they arrive expired, and/or damaged due to the poor packaging and delivery process.

Better than Starbucks mocha ground coffee!
I LOVE the chocolatey taste and aroma of this delicious coffee! It has become my absolute FAVORITE Good and Gather coffee. I did a taste test to compare it to Starbucks mocha ground coffee and HANDS DOWN, the Good and Gather double chocolate ground coffee won by a landslide! The Starbucks coffee has NONE of the delicious, chocolatey aroma or taste of the Good and Gather coffee. It's not a bad coffee at all. It just tastes like plain, regular coffee. I was SO disappointed with it compared to the yummy and decadent taste and smell of the Good and Gather coffee. I'm glad I satisfied my curiosity but I won't be buying the more expensive Starbucks version again. It'll be strictly Good and Gather double chocolate for me! I just wish they made it in decaf.
