Q: How is the Nourison Shiftloc Ivory Rug Pad DIFFERENT FROM the Nourison Grid-Loc Ivory Non-Slip Rug Pad? I can't decide which will be better for my needs, which are primarily non-slip.

  • A: Yes, it can. Using a rug pad will help avoid moisture build-up, but you should still regularly check under the rug to make sure the rug and pad are properly dried and ventilated. so it’s still best to thoroughly air-dry rugs/rug pads after washing or after heavy rains to make sure moisture isn’t trapped under the rug/pad or between the fibers.

Carpet pad is definitely better than the $10 ones you can get places. I am using it by the front door and for the most part it is keeping the carpet there in place. I think my husband is capable of moving a nailed down carpet as he is the only one that the doormat moves for-not sure why because he’s not wiping his feet!
