A good AC window unit but not for big rooms.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This AC window unit was given to me. I like it except that sometimes when it seems hot enough inside the room it's in it doesn't always come on unless I reduce the temperature on it. I like how easy it is to clean the filter and the fact that the unit reminds me to clean it after so many hours of operation. Compared to my last AC window unit it's doing a better job.

Started out ok
I did alot or research and thought I was getting a highly rated product. The product worked fine for 2 summers, then when I brought it out for the 3rd it was extremely loud and the noise increases when I turn up the fan. upon further investigating there was a high amount of rust inside the unit. I took it apart and found that the motors drive shaft is causing the noise and needs the bearings re-greased but The motor can not come appart. I could buy a new one but its over half the price of a new ac, I now just have a large paper weight. I guess when someone does an evaluation they dont really take into account the longevity of a product.

one of my coolest buys
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I saw an ad for this on sale and read up on it. We happened to need one so I ordered it. I was able to install rather quickly as the instructions are very clear and the process was fairly easy. Once installed, our living room and dining room was cooled very quickly. I also have been happy about the economy mode, which makes it easy to keep the house comfortable while cutting back on our electric bill. So wish I had bought 2.

Growls loudly

This is my fifth purchase Why because they beat all other brands out there in looks,function,price and performance I have purchased many other brands in my 77 years UT this one beats them all Very happy with my purchases Only issue is the rust on bottom board I have contacted LG about this issue and I am waiting for answer

Enjoying the cold air
Choose this LG air conditioner to replace a a 9 year old off brand unit. This unit is working great. I bought it so it would cycle on and off when it got to temperature, and it's doing just, that. I hope I have/ use it for many years to come. Great purchase.

Quiet and cold

So I bought the same type again, only this one has WI-Fi and connects to Alexa.. It cools my whole living room and dining area.( about 400 Sq Ft ) It's quiet and cools nicely..

More trouble than its worth
I bought this last year. And it is deteriorating rapidly. It goes through periods where it will not cool, according to LG support the only remedy is to unplug the unit (sometimes for hours) and then run it (again sometimes for hours) at max cool and max fan to get it working again. When it doesn't work, it will emit a loud distressing buzzing noise. Since last year it has gotten noticeably worse, requiring this hard restart at least once a day. I cannot use the cooling during the night, as it will inevitably fail and wake me up with the buzzing sound. If you like the idea of constantly fiddling with your AC unit, of never knowing how long your rooms will be cool, or what horrible noises you will endure, This is the unit for you. For all others, I would avoid.
