Super happy with Staub!

I can’t say enough about this pan. I roasted my garden tomatoes in it and they tasted divine. We are loving Staub cast iron cookware, our food is even tastier than ever, they are easy to clean and so versatile.

so many uses

I use this pan for everything. It makes great crispy potatoes but also great for cooking entrees. The cast iron heats so evenly and the matte interior gives me great browning. The enamel coating makes it so easy to clean and maintain.

These are great to have on hand, think more than one, for side dishes. Due to the cast iron's ability to conduct and distribute heat evenly, all of my dishes come out perfectly golden brown and with the extra crispy edges that I love!

Gives a good crust

My family loves potato gratin and I love using this dish because it is made out of cast iron, so the dish gets hot and stay hot to make the potatoes and cheese super crispy. I also love the handle design on this dish and the fact that it is enameled so that it is naturally non-stick without having to do special cast iron care.

Solid, Cast iron Roaster

Great size for big side dishes...even decent-sized chicken. Heats up quickly...holds heat and enameled interior makes for easier cleaning than raw cast iron...oven safe over 600 degrees.

Au Gratin

I love love love this pan to use for Potatoes Anna or Scalloped potatoes, in addition to the obvious Potatoes Au Gratin! this dish also works perfect for parmigiana or baked ziti. Perfect size and the lovely handles make serving in the same dish so obviously perfect!

Even heating

One of the best things about cooking in cast iron is how evenly it heats up. No hot spots means everything bakes to perfection. Use this in place of ceramic or glass baking dishes for everything from potatoes and casseroles to brownies and bread! Cleans up easily because of the matte black coating...this cast iron needs no "seasoning".

Perfect Baking Every Time

Don't be fooled by the black inside and out; this is not your Grandma's cast iron. It is enameled outside which makes it very chip resistant. It is enameled inside which assures perfect browning, but it doesn't require seasoning. This is my go-to pan for au gratin potatoes. Nothing adds more flavor to food than being nicely browned. It is also perfect for cobbler. I love how cast iron stays warm much longer than a stainless steel or glass pan. This pan is durable enough to use on the stovetop or in the the oven.

I am a big fan of the crispy parts of food that sticks to the sides of the pan during cooking. This baking dish creates a fabulous ring of crispy goodness all around the edge. My favorite recipe to cook in this are the 5 Spice sweet potatoes from the Staub cookbook. Bakes evenly, stays hot long after it's taken out of the oven and can be used for multiple recipes not just au gratins.

One Versitile Pan

You can use this pan for anything. A gratin, roasting a chicken, frying a burger, literally a game changer in the kitchen. Staub's amazing black matte finish produces the best searing on meat that I have ever seen. Made in France and a lifetime warranty.

It was more $$ than I thought it should be, but has ended up being worth every penny. I use it more often than I would. Great for chicken, meatloaf, veggies, mac and cheese. So easy to pull out of the oven and place on the table..
