Drill broke after only a couple times out of the box. For the price this is extremely disappointing. Do not buy!!

This product would be great except that the drill that came with it does not work. We tried several different batteries, all brand new and it would never turn on. That was the whole reason I bought this set, for the working drill.

My son LOVES pretend play, and mimicking what mummy and daddy do, so this set was perfect! It is life-like enough to hold his attention (by that I mean all screwdrivers fit in screws, the adjustablespanner works etc.), but also designed to be tactile and ergonomic for fitting in small hands. If I was being critical I would just say that the case was a bit flimsy, and not up to Learning Resources usual high standard, but it does the job and keeps the set altogether.

My daughters who are 2 and 5 both enjoy this set. They got to grips with it easily, no instructions are really needed. Their favourite part was drilling the pretend holes, although they did need some help from Daddy to hold so they could drill. Another bonus is the way it folds up into a neat carry case so this could easily be taken elsewhere such as relatives houses etc. It is easy to play with, my 2 year old is really into dress up so has loved wearing the belt! The only downside is there could be more variation, such as different size nails to hammer, and perhaps a few more parts in general.

My 4 year old absolutely loves building things, so when I saw this pretend and play work belt tool set I thought he would love it, and I wasn't wrong! The set comes in a sturdy case, so is great for when he wants to take it to grandmas house. There is a nice range of tools, and comes with a 'magic' plank.. that makes you think that you are actually cutting the 'wood'. It also has little hidden cogs inside the screw holes, so when you screw into it, they turn and open the holes, so it's like your actually screwing into wood. The set is strong and well made.. and even with my little ones heavy hands, I know it will definitely stand the test of time!... My only criticism would be that the belt is far too big for my son, and doesn't feature much of a fastener, so comes undone easily ( but that could just be because he is still quite small ). Overall, it's a great little set, and would be ideal for any budding builder!

Great for role play and love the case that it comes in for play in the move. Good range of tools but tool belt is a bit ooor quality for learning resources. Other tool toys in the LR range are fantastic ( two drill for example) but the tool belt is a Bit flimsy and not so robust. Decent set of tools, belt disappointing.

As soon as my six year old saw this set online he wanted it. I love the handy carry box it comes with, so you can keep the set together and take it with you for on the go play. He loves putting all his tools in the belt and asking me if I have any jobs that need doing around the house! It comes with a good range of tools, that won't ruin your furniture! His younger brother who is three also likes to help out and pass him tools. A sturdy kit that will keep little ones amused for hours.

We bought this tool kit for our daughter. She loves to fix things and pretend she is a carpenter. Perfect for imagination play. Great for boys or girls.

The kids love the product and they seem to enjoy the ability to actually make the tools work.

The toolbox has a good variety of tools. My 3 year old just got it for his birthday and plays with it daily. My only complaint is the tool belt doesn't snap closed so he can't wear it..which allow more pretend play. And the 'wooden' plank is a great idea, though I would have like to see it up on supports so the kids can put the screws in all the way.

This is the best tool kit out their for kids. I have 2 boys under 5yrs old. We bought other cheap tool kits that broke instantly or in a couple of days. I was hesitate to buy because they were so expensive but the quality is well worth it!!! We have had for 4 months and nothing has broke. ***To other poster-the plank is to practice with the screws and bolts. My 4 yr old liked it once I showed him how to use it. My 2 yr old didn't care for it until he saw his brother use it. Don't waste your money buying several cheap ones, buy this one. MY ONE complaint is the tool belt wasn't made small enough but I have thin kids.

Great toy for my 3 year old son. He loves it. However, not sure how or what to do with the wooden plank.
