Boderline useless
The plastic is too soft or thin and tends to crater around the wheels of the office chair so that it barely performs better then having the chair sit directly on the carpet and boderline defeating the entire purpose of the product. We're not particularly heavy neither. Do not buy.

You can measure your carpet thickness by using a paperclip and pushing the pin through the carpet padding until it hits the subfloor; then measure the distance on the paperclip from the subfloor to the top of the carpet pile. Because that’s exactly what it feels like when you unbox this chair mat. It arrives tightly coiled like it’s been training for a wrestling match—and spoiler alert: it wins! The plastic is so stiff it snaps back into a roll the moment you blink. I tried weights, heat, even Jedi mind tricks. Nothing worked. Do yourself a favor and buy one that ships flat or better yet, grab one in-store. This one's a hard pass!

Won't lay flat - DO NOT BUY this product!!!!
After receiving the package, I realized that the mat was rolled up in the box. For two weeks I've put bricks on it, plywood, and other heavy items to get the "roll-up" kinks out and it still won't lay flat. This item is junk and I will suggest that no one buy this...a waste of money! It's going in the trash. $38 in the toilet.

No mention of phthalate free with product
This smelled as toxic as my previous chair mat and there was no mention at all that this mat was phthalate free, not even really a brand name mentioned at all with the product. I could have received any mat, who would know? It smelled toxic as most chair mats do, however it flattened out pretty quickly so I gave it 4 stars for that. Chairs rolls over it without issue. Minus one star for no branding or information with the product

It says good for carpet, but it’s so thin when you sit in one place as one does for work, your wheels create divots in the plastic and your chair won’t move. Because it has nubs for carpet it won’t work on hard floor so essentially this is junk unless you weigh less than 50 pounds.

PVC is a naturally softer and flexible material, which has been tested to withstand weights up to 180 pounds – this includes both the weight of the user and office chair. As your wheels are creating divots in the plastic, which is stopping your chair from moving, we would recommend re-measuring your carpet to ensure that this mat is suitable for your carpet- this mat can be used on carpets that are up to ¼” thick.
