Cook up a steamy favorite with this 30-Ounce Organic Whole Grain Brown Rice from Good & Gather™. Whether you’re whipping up fried rice, tacos or a tasty side, this brown rice is a classic side dish or ingredient for a variety of your favorite dishes and offers a rich nutty flavor you're sure to love. With 30 ounces of brown rice per bag, you’ll have plenty for all your favorite recipes. The rice is certified USDA Organic and non-GMO with no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives so you can enjoy fresh flavor every time. Whether you’re cooking dinner for the family or meal prepping for the week ahead, this organic long grain brown rice is sure to be a fast favorite.

Directions
1 cup dry rice = about 3 cups cooked

Stovetop
1. Bring water or broth and rice to boil in saucepan. Add butter and salt to taste, if desired.
2. Reduce heat to low; simmer 25 minutes or until all liquid is absorbed and rice is tender.
3. Remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes. Fluff with fork before serving.

For 4 servings, use 2 cups of water or broth + 1 cup of rice.
For 8 servings, use 4 cups of water or broth + 2 cups of rice.

Electric Pressure Cooker
1. Combine 2 cups rice and 3 cups water or broth in 6-qt. electric pressure cooker. Season with salt, if desired. Cover and lock lid closed, making sure steam valve is in seal position.
2. Set to pressure cook on HIGH for 10 minutes.
3. Allow pressure to release naturally for 20 minutes, then carefully turn steam valve to vent position to release remaining pressure. Remove lid and fluff.

Refrigerate or discard leftovers immediately.

    Tastes and smells old

    Bad smell. Quality has declined. This has been sealed in my pantry unopened but recently opened it and cooked it. Smells and tastes old even though expiration isn’t until 2027. Seriously target this is bad.

    Hard Pass. Will never buy again.

    This rice does not taste or smell good! Even after rinsing several times. You can smell the strong unpleasant earthy smell upon opening the bag, it gets stronger when you are cooking it.

    Good, but...

    I like this rice, however, my most recent bag had rice weevils (small black bugs) in it upon opening. Would recommend freezing newly bought bags for several days to kill any possible insects or their eggs.

    Dirt

    It tastes like dirt! I normally wash ands rinse my rice and add filtered water to cook my rice. I thought it was my water but it smells fine. It’s the rice! The texture is weird too. It’s dry and it lacks a bit of stickiness. I thought I had accidentally bought par cooked rice but it says nothing about that on the label. Don’t buy. It’s just tastes awful!

    Smells horrible.

    Not a good flavor

    Has a weird flavor . Oddly like grass clippings were mixed in it . Makes it seem like it wasn’t cleaned well. I washed and strained it 3 xs before cooking but it still doesn’t taste right .
