The Graco SlimFit3 LX 3-in-1 Car Seat is our slimmest design that fits 3 car seats across, saving space in your back seat without compromising on the safety you trust and the features you need. This narrow all-in-one car seat grows with your child from rear-facing harness (5-40 lb) to forward-facing harness (26.5-65 lb) to highback booster (40-100 lb). We tested our lightweight 3-across car seat in every configuration, to help ensure your growing family can fit in your vehicle, even with children of different ages who ride in different modes, or when paired with select other Graco car seats. Integrated belt lock-off makes for easy vehicle seat belt installation in forward-facing mode, and allows you to position your seats to maximize space with 3 across. Graco’s exclusive push-button InRight LATCH provides an easy, one-second attachment with an audible click to help ensure secure installation. We made thoughtful design choices to make the SlimFit3 easy to adjust with 3 car seats in the back seat. The No-Rethread Simply Safe Adjust Harness System allows you to adjust the height of the headrest and harness to 10 positions with just one motion for just the right fit. Easily adjust the 4-position recline for a better installation and a comfortable ride. The Rapid Remove cover comes off in 60 seconds, without uninstalling the seat or removing the harness, and is machine washable. Plus, the SlimFit3 is slim enough to fit 3 across, but spacious enough to keep your growing child comfy. Breathable mesh AirFlow channels provide improved ventilation to keep your child cool and comfortable. Two cup holders are designed to work with the three-across configuration to keep drinks and snacks close at hand. Fuss-free harness storage pockets conveniently hold the harness out of the way while your child gets in and out. Removable, plush head and body inserts help to keep your infant feeling cradled and comfortable. The steel-reinforced frame provides strength and durability for years of use, and EPS energy-absorbing foam provides effective impact energy management. A: Thanks for reaching out with this great question! The SlimFit3 LX 3-in-1 Convertible Car Seat is approved for installation with inflatable seat belts. However, when installing do not use the shoulder belt lock-off with inflatable belt systems. We hope this helps!

A: I think the biggest thing is the newer version (LX) is updated to meet the new federal standards that are coming into effect in June 2025. If you look at the rear facing weight requirements, the LX requires rear facing until 26.5lbs whereas the plain slim fit is a lower weight. Side impact standards are also updated. Most old car seats not updated are still safe to use, but they won’t have the updated safety features. Hope this helps!

Q: Does this meet the new claim of side-Impact Tested to FMVSS 213a? I know this test doesn’t get enforced until June 30, 2025 but I want to get ahead.

A: I believe it does! If you look at the weight requirements for rear facing, it’s updated with the 26.5lb requirement for being flipped forward facing. The older plan slim fit model is not.

A: Thanks for your interest in our limFit3 LX 3-in-1 Convertible Car Seat! This model does have a push-button InRight™ LATCH to use in rear and forward facing 5-point harness modes us to 45lb. When this model is in booster mode you can use the InRight™ LATCH up to 100lb since the weight of the child is what is keeping the seat in place, and the vehicle's seatbelt is what is securing the child. We discovered this model when researching. Much easier to get in the car, and overall better engineered. Very slim and doesn’t slide around like the other model. We switched out all our seats to this style.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had a really good run with this carseat! It delivers well on its promise to be able to fit three of these across comfortably. For context, our car has an official 51.6 inches of rear hip room, and we chose this over other "slim fit" carseats out there because of its lightweight yet sturdy build. We have two of these, and a different slim seat for our older kid, but this one takes the cake. The padding comes off very easily to clean up any accidents (we've run it in the delicate cycle with great results), and is very easy to put back on securely. With little ones, that alone is a great feature. Most importantly, the carseat just feels safe for our kids. I would recommend this to anyone who wants their child to be safe, while making the most out of their seating space.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this car seat for my 2013 Mustang because it had the smallest base and it would fit good in the deep bucket seat construction, unlike wider base seats that would bridge across the bolsters and leave a large gap underneath. My biggest knock on this is the angles don't work perfectly with the recline settings for the different ages and stages and the seat doesn't sit flush against the seat back in the car, regardless of how snug I get the tether/anchor belts pulled.. That being said, it looks great, my daughter loves it, it's easy to use, and now she gets to have a lot more rides in the "fun car!"

The seats are sized to fit together well in tight spaces and are user friendly to be taken apart and washed easily. They go in and come out of the car easy also! Best car seat we’ve ever had!

I love that the straps easily stay off to the side while sitting my child down into the seat. This was not the case with my older child’s car seat. Easy to adjust the straps and headrest without undoing anything. The cup holders also fit our Zak kids water bottles unlike another carseat we have. Our child seems to be really comfortable in it.

Car seat was purchased for airplane travel and for use in our rarely used second vehicle. While it was lightweight, it unfortunately did not have a belt lock for rear facing installation. Our car is older and does not have the latch system, nor do all of the vehicles where we were traveling to. When installed rear facing, it literally would tip over. I even went to the hospital to do a car seat safety check and make sure I was installing everything correctly. The seat would not install in a way we all felt comfortable with. Sadly, it didn’t work for us and I had to return it and continue to schlepp our 27 lb. Nuna seat on our trip. I should note, there is a belt lock for forward facing installation.
