Not such a great value
Works well if you can find replacement grinding bands. So when out of bands included good luck. I checked Wahl web page $5.99 for 6 but $14.99 shipping. Might as well buy a new one maybe a different brand that’s more accessible bands.

Defective?
No matter what I do I can't get the drill head to stay on longer than a couple of seconds while attempting to file their nails

it was okayyy but
it is a nice grinder, but i think it overheats too fast, also i try to turn it off, but the only way to turn it off was by opening the entrance of the batteries

Best Nail Grinder Yet
We have a bunch of different grinders but this one has been our favorite. So much so that we bought an additional one to gift. The dogs don’t whine as much either when using it.

Fine for intermittent use with a single dog
Batteries last long enough for one dog and 1-2 paws of my second dog (weekly to biweekly grind). I tried rechargeable batteries once, but the casing on rechargeable batteries makes them an extremely tight squeeze in the device to the point of causing the platics housing to begin separating. The device itself lasted about a year before it died. Switching to a rechargeable device.

Amazing
Works great! Very quiet too so it doesn’t scare your dog. Much better than trying to use clippers.

Works well
Works great right out of the box. Is much quieter than a standard dremel. It has 2 speeds, but I can do my (small) pups nails with the slower and quieter mode in just a few minutes. I have not run into any issues with battery life so far, and I have done his nails several times. The nail guard cap may not be suitable for dogs with thicker nails.

Effective and highly recommend
Better than a nail clipper in my opinion. Though it takes more time, I prefer the gentleness and that this box comes with a grinder that smooths out the rough edges. I have been using it for a couple of months now and haven't had any issues!

What is battery life?
Battery life is basically nonexistant. Ate 8 AA batteries in 2-3 hours of use. Can't return it now that it's been used, so I deeply regret my purchase. Stay away and save your money for something with a rechargable battery.

Disappointed with battery life
I’m very familiar with nail grinders and have been using them for over 20 years. I was previously using the Dremel brand until it died. I’ve used the corded, rechargeable and battery operated models. Decided to try the Wahl brand and while it wasn’t too loud, did a great job on my Shih Tzu’s nails, but when I started on my other dog and was only able to do one nail before the batteries needed to be replaced. I do nail trim’s every two weeks and having to replace batteries after every time I trim one dog’s nails is insane. I’m also not buying cheap batteries. I’m returning these and either going with the corded or a Lithium Ion battery that can easily be charged. Yes, I have the rechargeable batteries but the Lithium battery in the Dremel lasts for a very long time before needing charged again. The Wahl just doesn’t live up to my expectations.

Easy and works well
So far so good! We have 3 dogs, (all different sizes) I was tired of paying to take them to the groomers to get their nails trimmed. Used this and it really shorted the nails. They were a little nervous at first, but then warmed up to the noise. I would recommend this.

A snoozer for dogs
By far the easiest tool I’ve used on my boys paws. Its not too loud either. Both of my dogs almost find it soothing and fall asleep when its time to trim their nails.

Pretty good
The tool works pretty well. My Labrador doesn’t mind, my shepherd doesn’t like it. I need to figure out how to make her not afraid, maybe start turning it on whenever I give a treat. I use it to slowly shorten my lab’s claws. I only do a little bit at a time. It does make a little dust so do it outside or on a hard surface that you can sweep.

Buy something else
It works well but it’s a pain to change the heads and batteries. If you accidentally load the batteries wrong they’ll get stuck and you’re out of luck and money. It goes thru batteries really quickly as well

Its a no for our dogs
Our dogs did not like it. I would say have your dogs professionally manicured. If dogs are used to these things I’m sure it’s a great product. But our healers lost there minds. I should of got a video.

It's best to calm your dog before trying to trim their nails. A great way to do this is take them for a walk before a nail trimming session. Try running the grinder near your dog while giving them plenty of positive reinforcement and praise. Offer your dog treats if they tolerate the noise. Getting your dog accustomed to the sound of the grinder may take several sessions. You can also practice nail grinding when your dog is a puppy. This also helps your pup become accustomed to having their paws touched without apprehension. This grinder comes with a 3-year warranty. You can contact Wahl at help@wahlclipper.com for information.

Nice tool and saves money on the groomer
So easy to use. Love that it came with the batteries and has two speeds. Our dog wasn’t bothered at all by this grinder and nails look great!
