My toddler loved this item! He sat still for an hour playing with it. The different levels of sand and the hidden toys kept his attention. The treasure chest is very durable and makes it easy to store everything away when you are done playing which makes for a very easy clean up. The sand is surprisingly easy to clean up as well and provides great sensory input for the kids. Overall this product is a must have for toddlers!

Missing gems and junky
There were no gems and came with the tiniest bit of sand. The key is breaking and cheap and it’s difficult to open the chest.

A bit messy
There’s gold colored sand in a hidden compartment under the chest which is unnecessarily messy. Also This item seems a bit overpriced for what it is. preferred the gold skull dino island zuru smashers toy for a treasure hunt. This chest cost $20 and the larger gold skull toy cost $10 and had more fun stuff. Also I didn’t appreciate that the key doesn’t really work -it got stuck - used a pencil to get the treasure chest to open.

Missing key-otherwise cute
You need the key to open it up and there was no key. Very disappointed and my kid kept asking for the key. At that point the package was destroyed so I figured there was no returning it. We ended up using a metal chopstick to get in the treasurebox. Besides that it's really cute. What kid doesn't want buried pirate treasure? The tools aren't as good as some other sets and the shovel doesn't do a great job shoveling, but my kid doesn't seem to mind it. Other sets have the sand play more contained and I prefer that. The glittery sand gets shimmer everywhere. I prefer the kit that has the sandcastle, shark, and turtle.

Great treasure hunt to find the gems
This is the second time buying because my son loves it so much, ours was missing the key but honestly we just open it without. The people saying gems were not included maybe didn’t find the treasure in the treasure hunt, there’s a panel that opens from the bottom with gold sand and gems.

Too pricey for what you get
The key is very hard to use. It ends up getting stuck inside of the keyhole. I struggle to open and close it for my son. This was a lot of fun for my son to play with but for the price it didn't have very much sand. It's a great idea but the price is too high for the value, in my opinion.
