Very Sturdy
This stand was exactly as described. I went with the heavier one so as to not have an issue with umbrella uplift. It had good craftsmanship and the finish was flawless. I really appreciated the two post adaptors allowing for a variety of umbrella diameters.

Cheap Alloy?
I purchased three of these bases specifically because they are made with minimal plastic, specifically metal, but every single one's upright metal tube broke off in less than a year just from slightly strong wind with closed umbrellas. I can only conclude that the metal used is some cheap soft alloy. Very disappointing, such a waste of nearly $500.

so far so good
it arrived in good condition, well packaged and easy to assemble. the only unknown is durability, hopefully it will do well. i chose this because of its weight (42 pounds) and its size (about 2\' square), and the height of the pole holder (14\"). Since it is flat I can also add weights to it. All of this will hopefully keep my umbrella from tipping over in the wind...so far, so good.

Good looking base but not too heavy
The umbrella base looks great. It's not too heavy of course, so it can move or turn in strong winds, but I bought it so I could nail it to my patio. Once it's nailed in, it's sturdy as a rock.

Good heavy duty stand
Nice and heavy umbrella stand. I have a little bistro table with a umbrella hole. It couldn't hold an umbrella without tipping because it's not very big, also because it's not very big, most umbrella stands couldn't fit under it. I needed a flat plate so it could sit on top of it. This stand fits my needs perfectly, holds the umbrella securely, works with my bistro table and looks very nice.

Great
The base of this chair is undeniably robust, however, it does come with a considerable weight. To address this, I added wheels to it, and now it is absolutely perfect.

Love this
I love this umbrella stand. It's really heavy and while I haven't attached an umbrella yet I feel confident it will do the job. I also love the stand allows for different-sized umbrella poles. Most I looked at only allow for one size. I love how versatile this stand is. I highly recommend it.

This has been great for two seasons
We live in an area with occasional wind. I do have to be diligent about putting the umbrellas down each day but for the most part this stand is much more sturdy than any round one I have purchased. I also like that I can tuck one side under the cross bar of my patio table for extra stability

Doesnt work.
The base doesn’t actually hold the pole like it’s supposed to. Pieces connect but never become stable. I can’t use it as intended.

Slim lined appearance , not bulky
In heavier than normal conditions, it's best to make sure the umbrella is down. Good weight to the base considering its slim design. I added a pot on the base with plants for additional stability and color
