good color match and coverage but horrible smell

I like this concealer, the color match is good (I'm wearing 2nd lightest option) and coverage is very good but the smell is awful! it smells like some kind of a dangerous chemical or expired medicine. did I maybe receive an expired one? the smell goes away quickly so I continue to use it but it's definitely an area of improvement for this product. had to take off a star for that reason - recommend otherwise.
