Single burner hot plate
First day out of the box, I used it 2 times. It seems to work great. Heats up very fast. It will boil water in a short time. Now... on product registration... P Silex has a sweepstakes going on. Your website requires adding birthday to determine if a person is old enough to win. On my phone, to choose my birthday, it requires me to scroll back through every month of every year to choose my birthday. Did I do it. No. Someone needs to rethink the way a person's birthday is entered. Thank you.

Be careful.
Don’t bother. I used this burner twice. The first time started out fine then it just died. I turned the dial off and unplugged it then plugged it in again and nothing. The second time I used it was later the same day. This time I plugged it in and even though the dial was in the off position the burner immediately lit up and was at maximum heat in less than 30 seconds. The dial, still on off, was too hot to touch. I’m not willing to risk a third time.

Disappointing
There are no settings on the power dial. No numbers or High, Med or Low. Terrible. How do you know what it's set at? Makes a lot of strange noises as it heats up. Takes a long time to heat, unless the power dial is turned all the way up. It cycles on and off, but the power light always stays on. You only know if it's cycled off if you happen to be nearby & you hear it click off. All in all, a pretty disappointing burner

Perfect for Small spaces/RV living
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently injured my back and havent been able to stand in the kitchen for very long and this product gave me some of my independance back. I was able to cook myself a meal and feel a little more human while laying down and for that i love it. Its not especially powerful but if you have limited space in the kitchen this will definitely do the trick in a pinch. Id reccomend nothing wider than a 9in pan otherwise it wont heat the whole pan evenly. Will it replace the stovetop? No but will it be a great extra option at cookouts, family meals, abd holidays? Absolutely. Even would be great tableside for something like hotpot or fondue

Good to have this on hand when Cooking and need an extra burner. I used this a couple days ago. It heats food up just like a stove eye would. I’ll actually be using this a lot more. Im very pleased with it.

My wife surprised me with this Proctor silex electric burner and I’m very happy she did. Heats up quick and very easy to use. I highly Recommend it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This single burner was perfect for my husband and I. I have already used it a few times. It heats up very quickly. I can heat my soup in just a minute or two. Hotdogs are also cooked and finished within a few minutes. This is going to be a great addition to our pavilion where we have all our cookouts with family. This will give us the "stove" I wanted to go along with our griddle and grill. I would definitely recommend this burner to anyone that needs an extra burner or to just use alone so you don't heat up your home during the summer.
