Description

The Regalo® Retractable Safety Gate is a simple and effective way to protect your baby and home. Made of high-quality mesh, the retractable baby gate slides to fit openings up to 50 inches and stands 30 inches tall.

The hardware mount retractable gate can be installed within an opening or on the outside of the opening. Once installed, pull the PVC mesh barrier to the other side of your opening and hook into the mounting hardware. Use the easy turn-to- cap to lock the gate in place. An indicator window easily allows you to see whether your gate is locked or unlocked.

  • A: To remove the gate, you will be pushing and holding onto the circular lock release button while sliding the gate outwards from the upper mount and upwards from the lower mount. There is an image of how to remove the gate in the instruction book under the "Operating Your Gate" section, step 3.

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The installation is easy, but if you don’t get it lined up across from the other support perfectly then you will have a ripple in the gate that does not look great and can make it difficult to open and close. The material is ok. My son can crawl and he crawls into it and doesn’t get hurt.

    Great option for a baby gate that does not take up much room.

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great baby gate if you don't want to have a gate that swings into a room or into the hallway. I consider myself pretty handy and understanding the instructions were a little confusing at first. So that probably took the longest process of the process. But once I figured out how the handles were supposed to face, and which situation was gonna work best for the inner part of a doorway it actually went pretty quickly. I would say this is a 2 person job to install. Because of the mounting kit that they give to you. But I was able to do it by myself. They do give extra pieces for if you are mounting against a base board. If you're doing the outer part of a doorway or the inner part of a doorway. Using the retractable feature is easy and there is a lock feature on it too so that young ones can't retract it if you dont want them to. I would highly recommend this over a pressure gate. You do have to screw into the wall or doorframe.

That being said, once it was installed, it is nice to have a lower profile than other gates and is relatively simple to use.

    Reliable and safe

We need something reliable to block off a high traffic area and this gate has checked every single box. The grey color looks incredibly modern and blessed in seamlessly with our home decor. Unlike traditional metal or wooden gate, when this is round up, it virtually disappears. Also, the fabric mass is surprisingly tough. It holds up perfectly against curious, toddlers, pushing on it.

    The best investment for peace of mind at home

It holds up well if the baby leans on it, and the locking system is great because I can open and close it with one hand while holding my baby, which is vital for every mom.     do not buy this. it is so incredibly difficult to get latched and locked, or unlatched and unlocked, especially if you are trying to do it one handed because you have a child in your arm. also, it is so squeaky, I can hear my toddler moving around in bed to the sound of me trying to latch it. and like everyone said below, its cheaply made and install is a beast. Don't do it.

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off, let me start by saying I do like this product. I had to make a few tweaks to the installation but we got it figured out. It does a good job blocking off the back entrance to my boys playroom. It’s pretty sturdy, but my toddler has already learned how to unlock it and release it, releasing my one year old into the wild. I will say the screws are cheap and many of them stripped trying to screw them into the door frame. I highly recommend flathead screws instead and notches made into all of the connector pieces so the screws fit flat. Overall, it was a pain to install and isn’t as toddler proof as I’d hoped. I do wish it was a few inches longer because I had plans to put it in a doorway that is 54 inches. Would I buy it knowing these things, probably not. But with a few minor upgrades, I think It would be a great option for unconventional doors and spaces.
