High quality tinted sunscreen

I am a fair-med skin toned 55 year old, who has had trouble finding a daily tinted, mineral sunscreen. I use this as a daily sunscreen because I have a sensitivity and need a Physical, or Mineral sunscreen. I want one that acts a light foundation and gives me a bit of coverage and evens out my complexion, without settling into my lines too much. Many of the others I have tried, including the others from Elta, are too dark for me. This has a nice smooth feel and coverage, great for my dryish skin AFTER my regular skincare, and is a good match for me. It does not have a white cast on me (see photo). I usally don't wear it with makeup, or just a little concealer or powder, so I can't attest to compatibilty with foundation. It's been the answer after a lot of trial and error to find a product like I've described.

This was recommended by my dermotologist. It does a nice job blending into skin and smoothing out the redness and discoloration of my skin. The zinc oxide is clear so it doesn't show as white when applied, which is great.

I noticed reviews that received as promotion is not reliable. all 4-5 stars because of promotions. Please give a honest review because it's important to buyers.. As I've read the non promotion reviews had the honest review. after trying this sunscreen, I experience drying micro pillings off my face same as others reviews. I dont's experience this pilling when using this same sunscreen ordered at dermstore or at Elta MD website so I am not sure if this the authenic sunscreen.

Applies like traditional sunscreen, a little creamier but definitely leaves a white cast on my brown skin.

Love this, it covers lightly, no need for foundation, as even lightweight foundations cake up and make me look old. It’s both spf and light tinted coverage and looks great! My holy grail, best price thru target as well.

I might almost rate this 2 stars (glides, doesn’t smell, doesn’t cause any bad reactions) if it weren’t so expensive, but in general it’s just so poor and useless. I’ve been trying to force myself to use it up for 6 months. The texture is whipped and mousselike — it definitely has a nice glide, but that’s where the redeeming qualities stop. It does not layer well at all with any other product, and you can forget about wearing it with makeup. It pills virtually immediately unless you put it on bone dry polished skin. Even when it doesn’t pill, within 30 mins of applying it I will see a dry, flaky residue on top of my skin (like the physical sunscreen is consolidating and drying into micro pills that fall off my face) unless I’ve used almost no product (so basically it only doesn’t look terrible if I don’t use a sufficient amount to get sun protection. Even when applied to totally bare, clean, unmoisturized skin, after maybe an hour if I touch my skin normally I feel it pill and rub off from the light contact. I haven’t tested this in any extreme sun conditions, and I’m afraid to because I have very little confidence in how much of it is staying on my skin. On second thought, it deserves the one star. This is the first Ella MD product I’ve tried and I’m hesitant to try another one.

I have combination to normal skin, but since started on tretinoin, it tends to be drier, slightly flakey and more sensitive. Love this mild, non-irritating mineral sunscreen with UVA and UVB protection (and hopefully the tint will add some protection towards blue-light as well). The tint appears to be a bit pinkish on my medium tone skin but disappears completely after rubbing in. Initially it looks more dewy than I like; after a couple minutes it become completely matte. I apply it over a gel moisturizer and there is no pilling. (Have not tried it over foundation because I seldom wear makeup). The price is resonable as most better-quality tinted face sunscreen usually sold in 1.7 oz. bottles and this comes in 3 oz.
