Mustela Cleansing Gel has been our go-to since my son was a baby, and even now that he’s a big kid, we’re still using it. It’s incredibly gentle on his skin—never causes any irritation—and it smells so good! I love how it leaves his skin soft and clean without drying it out. Definitely a product we trust and will keep using.

Soooo I got into this brand in 2014. My daughter had some serious eczema. It would look like open sores. So I wanted to give the brand a go in 2024. This scent was a little strange. I had to smell it for a while before I bought it. It has a peppery smell is the best way to explain it. Smelling the bottle was different than washing my son in it. It wasn’t the same. But it was. I do recommend it. The smell is not strong. But sticking your nose in it, it can be. This is coming from someone who wants to choke someone over perfume or essential oils.

We use a lot of Mustela products because of how gentle and clean they are on our son's skin. We actually also use them on ourselves since we love them so much! But this gentle cleansing gel was disappointing compared to some other clean options on the market. It has very little lather, so a lot of the soap ends up getting washed off immediately. Because of that we went through the bottle far too quickly to make the pricier price tag worth it. We'll continuing using other Mustela products, but not this one!

Our Gentle Cleansing Gel is specially designed for gently cleaning and soothing a newborn's skin and hair. Because of this , it is made with 93% plant-based ingredients, including Avocado Perseose® and Vitamin B5, and is biodegradable. It effectively cleanses and nourishes without removing the skin's natural oils. It does not have the strong surfactants, so does not lather too much. We value your feedback and happy to hear our other products work for your family.

Thank you for your review! Your feedback is greatly appreciated. Our formula does not contain any eye numbing agents like many tear-free shampoos. Instead, it contains a very gentle blend of cleansers and moisturizers. The cleansers we use are non-irritating to the eyes. However, we do advise avoiding the eyes.
