  • A: Dear Kelly, No, the Montauk Hand Woven Rugs are NOT machine washable. We recommend light vacuuming with out the beater bar, and spot cleaning with a damp rag.

Air the rug out first in a clean, well-ventilated area, like a porch for a few days (a garage is not recommended unless the windows or the doors are open) b. Turn on the air conditioner or place fans within the space where the carpet is located and keep the windows and doors open. This way will help enhance the flow of air in and out of the space.
