Usually those styles feel very flimsy and break in a few wears but this is not the case here. It is made of strong plastic and the claps looks great. A note is that the actual claw part is quite big, which will be perfect for those with a thick head of hair but might be a bit big for those with fine hair. Overall cute, I recommend

The clip had very strong springs. I have broken every hair clip I have ever had because I have very long thick heavy hair and that did not happen to this one. I will be buying this brand from now often.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My first impression of the Scünci Butterfly Claw hair clip was that it was beautiful and I couldn't wait to use it. The gold iridescent color is gorgeous and a perfect color to go with many looks. I knew I wanted to try wearing it 2 ways. Woth my hair in a twist and the butterfly as the only thing securing the twist in. My hair is very thick, heavy, and long. So I knew I'd it held it up in a twist worth no issues it was a good strong holding hair clip. Unfortunately it did not hold my hair in place at all. No matter which way I tried to clamp it my hair would fall out. I moved to my second choice of a high point amd to use the clip over my hair band as an accent instead of for hold. UT worked perfectly for this look amd held all day. Yhe way it's made it is just right to use this way. The material is hard plastic but very thick and sturdy. It is more sized for thick hair and more adult sized. I didn't test it on a child's hair so i can't say either way. I recommend it accent hair.
