Description

Nature’s answer to gentler infant digestion.

Hi, we’re Kendamil - proudly family-owned and crafted in Europe since 1962. For over 60 years, our team has been dedicated to raising the standards for infant formula with our signature recipes.

Kendamil Goat Infant formula is a naturally gentle formula for babies with sensitive digestive systems. Made with goat milk instead of cow’s milk, goat milk predominantly contains A2 beta-casein proteins, which match the proteins found in breast milk and have been shown to be easier to digest for sensitive babies. The A2 proteins in goat milk form smaller, softer casein curds, promoting gentler digestion. For infants experiencing digestive discomfort such as constipation, gassiness, and reflux, using goat milk formula may reduce the likelihood of these symptoms occurring, making it a natural alternative for infants with sensitive tummies.

Whole milk fats and lactose replace palm oil, soy, and corn syrups while creating a naturally creamy formula closer to breast milk and wholesome by nature.

Our award-winning formulas meet the highest standards for infant formula set forth by Europe and the United States, guaranteeing exceptional quality for your family.

Certified Vegetarian

Always consult with your healthcare professional if you have concerns that your infant is suffering from Congenital Lactase Deficiency.

Q: my daughter currently uses Kendamil Goat and they are out of stock everywhere in my area, would it be ok to substitute to Kendamil Organic?

submitted by Substituting formula - 1 year ago
  • A: You may find increased fussiness but fed is best !

submitted byAlexa - 6 months ago
  • A: Use the HotStock app to get notifications and keep an eye on shipping it to you from Target. That’s how I have been keeping on top of it. As soon as you get a notification it’s available for delivery add it to your cart and check out. You can get two at a time. This is how I’ve been able to keep up.

  • A: Hi and thanks for the great question. We can help you find the best option for your family. Yes, we recommend trying Kendamil Organic or Kendamil Classic. Like all of our formulas, they are both European-made with whole milk fats - each formulated to a whey:casein ratio to closely mimic that of breast milk. Plus, all of our recipes include our unique prebiotic blend of HMOs and GOS, with the addition of FOS in our Classic formula, and EU levels of plant-based DHA and ARA.

Q: Has anyone had problems with constipation in their baby? I started giving this milk to my baby from his first week of life, he was assimilating it well but pooping once a day and it is difficult for him to poop.

submitted by Aye - 1 year ago
  • A: Add a probiotic like biogaia

submitted byAlexa - 6 months ago
  • A: This is normal for formula fed babies.

submitted byBabelfish - 1 year ago
  • A: Try adding a little organic blackstrap molasses to his bottles

submitted byRastaMama - 1 year ago
  • A: We always advise parents to consult with their child's pediatrician or healthcare professional before switching baby milk or introducing formula for the first time, particularly if their baby has feeding issues. If you decide to switch, it may take a little while for your baby to adjust entirely to new baby milk. We generally recommend a transition period of 7 - 14 days, during which you can gradually introduce the new formula.

Q: We are on day 5 of feeding Kendamil goat, and our 4.5-month-old has gotten worse every night, waking an hour after bed and screaming inconsolably for hours. Do we need to switch again? Every formula is the same to the pediatrician.

submitted by cr202 - 1 year ago
  • A: Hey new mom here to a 2 month old. We also experienced this for a few days and had to get gas relief drops for her to take a couple feedings a day. Don’t know if you tried that yet but would recommend.

submitted byKD - 1 year ago
  • A: The screaming is bc of the “well visits”….. not the formula.

submitted byJac - 1 year ago
  • A: Hi Cr202, We generally recommend a transition period of 7-14 days to allow your baby’s digestive system to completely adjust to a new formula, even if you are simply moving to another stage of the same formula brand. Gas, constipation, and fussiness are fairly common reactions to a new formula. Because of this, we recommend introducing the new formula gradually by slowly swapping bottles of the current or “old” formula with Kendamil, starting with the midday feeds first and not the feeds before bed. It can be a good idea to slowly introduce new formulas to allow for their tummy to adjust. We do recommend speaking to your healthcare professional before making any changes to your little one’s diet that you are concerned about.

Q: Is there a way to adjust the toddler goat milk formula to make it acceptable for a 5 month old? It is the only formula he will eat and it is constantly out of stock in the infant variety!

submitted by Hungry infant - 2 years ago
  • A: Hi Hungry Infant and thanks for the question. We would not recommend giving our Toddler milk to your little one if they are under 12 months old, as the nutrients in it are specially formulated for that age group. Please reach out to our team at enquiries@kendamil.com so we can provide some individual suggestions for you and your baby, based on their needs. Hope this helps!

Q: Hello , can the water be boiled via microwave for easy connivence for the teachers at daycare when they watch my 5 month old baby ?

submitted by May - 9 months ago
  • A: Hi May, thanks for the great question! We don’t recommend using a microwave to boil water for formula preparation as it can heat unevenly, create hot spots, and may not bring water to a proper rolling boil, which is important for safety. We advise following NHS guidance, which recommends using freshly boiled water (cooled no lower than 70°C/158°F) when preparing formula feeds. Various guidance here (NHS/WHO/FDA) suggests all feeds should: be used within 1 hour from the start of feeding, be used within 2 hours from preparation, and be used within 24 hours if cooled immediately and placed in the back of the fridge. We recommend preparing each feed fresh and on-demand as that is best practice and as per advised by the NHS. However, in any instance where this is not possible, where you need to transport a feed (for example, to a nursery), prepare the feed at home, cool under a running tap or in a bowl of cold water, and cool it for at least 1 hour in the back of the fridge. Take it out of the fridge just before you leave and carry it in a cool bag with an ice pack, and use it within 4 hours. If you do not have an ice pack, or access to a fridge, the made-up infant formula must be used within 2 hours. Let us know if you have any other questions - we’re always happy to help!

Q: Does Kendamil Organic help to lessen the eczema?

submitted by Rose - 1 year ago
  • A: Hi Rose, Whilst we know our products inside and out as all babies are different and there are a number of factors that could trigger eczema in a child we would always recommend speaking with your GP or healthcare professional for advice on treating this condition in your little one.

Q: The UK goat infant formula (0-6 months) has 0.7mg of iron, while the US formula (0-12 months) has 1.1mg of iron. Is that too much for my 2 month old? Should I purchase the UK version?

submitted by T - 1 year ago
  • A: The UK version is 0.7mg of iron per 100mL. While the US version is 1.1mg per 5 US fl oz. Converting the US version to mL would be approximately 1.1mg per 147.868mL. Being that the UK version’s ratio is 0.007mg/mL, we can then multiply by 147.868mL to obtain the amount of iron in mg. 0.007mg/mL * 147.868mL = 1.0351 mg or ~1.04mg. Seems there’s only a 0.06mg difference.

    submitted byUser1037 - 1 year ago
  • A: All of our formulas are fortified with iron and always have been as it is required to meet the growing needs of all infants. In the US the FDA requirement is that infant formula, regardless of manufacturer, should contain a minimum of 1mg per 100kcals and our Infant Goat meets this requirement at 1.1mg. I can assure you this is not 'too much', if you have any concerns please contact your pediatrician. Hope this helps!

  • A: We always advise parents to follow the NHS gold standard when it comes to bottle making. They advise that you should prepare each bottle with freshly boiled water, following the directions on the can, right before feeding. For guidance regarding Baby Brezza or any other prep machines we suggest you speak directly with the manufacturer. Hope this helps!

Q: Can you refrigerate the goats milk?

submitted by LYNETTE - 2 years ago
  • A: We always advise parents to follow the NHS (National Health Service) gold standard when it comes to bottle making. They advise that you should prepare each bottle with freshly boiled water, following the directions on the can, right before feeding. Once your little one has fed from a bottle any remaining formula needs to be discarded if not consumed within 1 hour. If you are preparing your bottles in advance for storage at home the NHS advise the following - in a fridge – use within 24 hours, in a cool bag with an ice pack – use within 4 hours, at room temperature – use within 2 hours. If you have further questions please reach out to our team of parents at enquiries@kendamil.com .

My baby loved the first infant milk however ive been unable to find the ready-made formula in several shops when I needed to top before my next subscription delivery. This makes it difficult to rely on the product. I wanted to share this feedback as availability was the main issue.

    Best baby formula!

My little one had tummy issues since birth. We had swapped his formula so many times as he struggled digesting the milk. We eventually tried Kendamil Goat and he was finally well. The discomfort had eased, he was finally able to poo and feed easily! It was a game changer!

    Great for reflux babies

My son has had reflux since his time in the NICU, his feeding was the reason we could not leave a day earlier than we did. We tried multiple different formulas from multiple different brands, but nothing seemed to settle his stomach. We were hesitant to try goat formula, but it has been the only formula that his stomach can tolerate. He is now almost completely reflux free due to the switch.

I was so hoping this formula would be the ticket for my baby. Unfortunately she spit up terribly from this and had nasty number 2 from this formula. Also the smell of this, spit up is gross! Glad it works for some, just didn’t for us. Darn.

I like how the formula mixes very easily and doesn't produce as much bubbles as the original, but my son was pretty fussy and caused his eczema to flare up.

Hi Deborah, thank you for sharing your experience. We’re glad to hear it mixed well for you and with fewer bubbles, but we’re really sorry your little one became fussy and had an eczema flare — we know how upsetting that can be. Because eczema flare-ups and persistent fussiness can be signs of sensitivity or allergy, we’d recommend stopping the product and speaking with your GP/paediatrician for personalised advice, especially if symptoms continue or worsen.

    Amazing milk

After my new born suffering for 5 weeks with really bad colic and trying alsorts from shops, pharmacy and doctors. I changed his milk to goats milk (we used organic kendermill with our 15 month) and it really was the best thing I ever did, easy digestion stopped his colic we also use the kendermill drops for a healthy gut along side his milk and what a huge difference. Best milk by far and we have subscriptions for both babies ❤️

Seems like a good, clean ingredient goat milk option. Hate it didn’t work out for us. My son broke out in a rash every time after drinking this. After trying Bobbie organic, Bobbie gentle and Kendamil goat, we finally switched to pure bliss by similac and now he’s completely fine. No rash, not fussy at all.

    Good but unethically expensive

The cost adds up to somewhere around $3000 for the first year of feeding one baby. I just use this to supplement breast feeding. But for those who have to be dependent on formula feeding, how are they supposed to afford to spend 3,000 on baby formula alone? No wonder baby formula is one of the most shop lifted products. People are going to jail for formula. Shouldn't be legal to mark it up like this.
1 reply from Kendamil USA team - 2 months ago
Hi, we understand that formula feeding is a significant cost for families. Kendamil Goat is priced at $1.60 per oz, which is among the lowest price points in the category. We also aim to provide strong value in the formula itself, including a European-made recipe with no palm oil, no soy, MFGM, and 24mg DHA per 100 kcals. Other competitors are priced between $1.74 and $2.13 per oz. Thank you.

    I dont know

I’ve been using Kendamil Goat formula for a couple months now and it’s been great. We picked it because of the ingredients and the company, which we love. Then I read something on their social media that they would be changing the formula. And they sure did. In reading the nutrients, they decreased a lot of important vitamins and minerals all to meet requirements in the US. It’s so disappointing. It’s the whole reason Im sure a lot of parents were using Kendamil. The old formula is the one with the longer, purple nutrients block and the new one is the shorter one

Hi Victoria. I would like to reassure you that we have not decreased the amount of vitamins and minerals. This remains the same. You may notice small changes in how some vitamins and minerals are listed on the Nutrition Facts Panel. These updates reflect how nutrient values are declared on U.S. labels - not changes to the nutrition quality your baby receives. Because certain vitamins and minerals can naturally change over time, U.S. labels are required to show values that are guaranteed through the end of the product’s shelf life. As a result, a number on the label may appear different, even though these differences do not reflect a reduction in the nutrition your baby receives. Importantly, your baby continues to receive all the essential vitamins and minerals they need to support healthy growth. Hope this helps!
