Not a rug for cats

While the rug itself is very nice, it's been in my house for 24 hours and already has countless snags from cat claws. They love it - I think they feel it's a long scratching post. So if you have a cat and are thinking about this rug, don't buy it. Trust me on this. I'm already looking for a replacement, sadly. Delivery was fine, rug is very nice, etc. Just not the rug for a house with cats.

Falls apart and sheds / weird smell

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The construction is bad. It can barely take being walked on without snags and pieces coming up. It constantly sheds. Also, it makes the room smell weird. Not stinky, but there is a damp smell. Like wet fur.

Rug Shedding

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The rug itself is beautiful and colors look great. However, the shedding is out of control. I have vacuumed daily and it continues to shed, tracking fibers all over our house (black stained wood floors) and on our clothing if we sit on it (which we often do to play with our toddler).

Sheds like no other rug I've ever had

I've had this rug for 9 months and it STILL sheds like no other. There's some sort of fiber that's embedded in the wool and it gets EVERYWHERE. My vacuum gets completely full from it every time I vacuum.I love the color and the pattern but the shedding is too much. I also have a small dog and it hasn't held up well - it has a bunch of pulls on it. Would not recommend!

Cool pattern, terrible material. Not worth your money

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really liked the design of this rug but when it arrived, the material and durability was terrible. Whatever fiber is embedded throughout the "wool" sheds incessantly, even after multiple vacuums, and gets all over your clothes, socks, feet, etc. Plus the texture was unfortunately perfectly desirable (rough/scratchy) for our cats and they ripped it to shreds in a matter of weeks. Total waste of money.

If you have cats (even good ones) DO NOT BUY this rug

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The bad: The rug colors are no where near as vivid as in photos and it arrived straight out of the packaging with a few snags. I definitely should have listened to other reviews that said their cats tore this rug up. I had high hopes because my cats are pretty good about not scratching furniture but they have already put so many snags in this rug (just within the week it's been on the ground). I've noticed it just snags really easily in general. It's still almost brand new and already looks pretty trashy. The good: It's pretty soft for being wool and even though the colors are a little dull, I still like it a lot. It was delivered on time and lays nice and flat once rolled out.I'm giving it 3 stars because I just should have known better not to buy a rug made like this with the loops of material. It's still nice and thick, but just doesn't seem durable or pet friendly. I feel like dogs would snag this too, or dragging anything (like a dining chair or coffee table) would catch and pull threads.

Loving this rug!

So happy with this rug purchase. It is comfy on our feet with a good thickness. The colors are muted and go perfectly with our MCM vibe. You will get some shedding at the beginning, just some extra vacuuming to get started. Not a deal breaker.

Excellent quality and color accuracy

I need two rugs for a large living room but I only ordered one of the Tuscan Alani rugs to make sure it would work. I’m happy to report that rugs looks fantastic in my space and that I’ll be ordering another one. I have a mid-century modern home and the style and colors work perfectly.

Not happy.

This is my first rug but we do walk on these things right? I've had it laying out for THREE DAYS and it's already showing wear and tear. It can't stand up to a small dog walking on it for THREE DAYS? That's ridiculous!

Beautiful; does not hold up to cats

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The colors of the rug and plush texture underfoot are lovely. If I didn't have cats, I'd give it a 5/5 review. But, word of warning to the cat owners out there: they will destroy this rug in a matter of days. I have many rugs that my two cats scratch regularly without showing barely any wear - this is not one of them. Within a week of owning this rug it has hundreds of tiny pulled threads and looks like I've had it for 10+ years. I've also noticed that it holds the shape of the feet of my dining room chairs, permanently. Big dimples that's don't come out. So, I wouldn't recommend this rug for a dining room or for cat owners, but otherwise, 5/5.
