Not a good option
Title: Do not buy — broke and messy after 4 months I bought the Breville Grind Control hoping for convenience and quality, but after four months, it’s been a disaster. Both the filter cup and the carafe lid literally fell apart and had to be replaced. The machine also has no reliable auto-shutoff or overflow protection — it frequently pours over the carafe and spills hot coffee all over my counter. The filter basket overfills with water, pushing grounds into my cup and leaving a gritty, bitter brew. Overall, the bad quality and performance are unacceptable for the price. This is the worst drip coffee maker I’ve owned; it lasted only 4 months and has consistently performed poorly. Not worth the money — avoid.

Should be removed from the Marketplace.
I purchased this machine about a month ago and it has proven to be the worst coffee maker I have ever owned. The grinder works fine, but when it sends the grounds to the coffee basket the door holding the basket will occasionally fly open and the grounds are sent flying out onto the surrounding counters. Instead of waking to a nice cup of fresh brewed coffee, I will have to start my day cleaning up the spewed grounds. If, and it is a big if, it does brew coffee, the coffee taste absolutely terrible. My kitchen is filled with Breville products because they are usually the best of the best. This coffee machine is the worst of the worst. I will be packaging it up and returning it to Breville and I do not want a replacement.

Breville’ Grind & Brew
We had initially purchased one of the first models of Breville’s Grind & Brew coffee makers & it was great for almost 15 years until it finally “died.” Breville offered a nice discount to purchase a new model so we took advantage of the offer and nowhave been using the newest version of same device for couple weeks. New model has few new adjustments to further improve the coffee it produces so the final product is even an improvement over the original model. It is incredibly easy to use and to clean after each use. The coffee it produces is awesome, we love it. This is a great product that does exactly what we bought it for; it produces fabulous coffee.

Do not buy
I purchased 2 years ago. I regularly maintained it, but its been nothing but problems. Now its outside of warranty (which at this price point should be longer), but thats on me. Don't make the mistake I made, do yourself a favor and pass on this. Unless you want to start your day without coffee trying to figure out why the "high end" coffee maker you purchased failed you.

This is exactly what I was looking for bean to cup coffee. Maintenance is easy clean it after use which takes 2 minutes and this will last a long time. Grind control and either carafe or single cup is amazing!!! Coffee is delicious out of this machine!

Good idea. Bad design
We treated ourselves to this brewer when we updated our kitchen. New granite countertops etc. IT LEAKS. We’ve been using it for awhile w water appearing around base. We assumed we’ve spilled. No. Base is weeping water from somewhere. Totally rusted and stained out new countertops. Do we replace ? Keep a towel under unit? Haven’t been able to find a grinder/brewer that compares.

Unreliable and disappointing
I originally bought this coffee maker a couple of years ago--looking for a coffee maker to grind beans and also a trusted brand name. Unfortunately, we have had our coffee maker replaced (complimentary) twice becuase the grinder doesn't work consistently, and the coffee maker is also unreliable--sometimes the water doesn't even wet all the grounds, resulting in weak coffee. Also, figuring out the math on amounts of coffee and water is complicated for single serve vs. carafe. I really wanted to love this product, but after many attempts to get it to work, I have given up. I would not recommend this product.

I regret the purchase every day
I purchased this machine to replace my Capresso grind and brew which died after only three years. I suspected that Breville, especially at its price point, would last much longer. This is the most finicky appliance I've ever owned and it makes the at-home brewing process a taxing affair each morning. The thermal carafe is poorly designed; the carafe must be inverted 180* to get the last bit of coffee out. Cleaning the unit after each use is not a problem; we do that regardless of the machine. But, the electronic menu will function only after you've emptied and replaced the coffee filter. Need to change the clock? Can't do that until you've emptied, cleaned, and replaced the filter. The most infuriating part is the coffee chute: it won't stay closed! It opens on its own mid brew. It opens when the carafe is removed. It opens when you look at it from across the room.

Difficult to clean chute clogs
When I unlock the hopper the chute should open so I can clean it. It never does anymore so I’m forced to clean from the top and hope I can get it clean. I never know if it will be clogged again and have woken up to a carafe of hot water. For this price pint I expected more.

ONGOING PRODUCT BUILD DEFECTS - WARNING ⚠️
It's been 1.5 years trying to resolve with 1 repair being released with more problems. This is the worst company I've ever encountered. I expect more. The drip coffee with built in grinder has flaws - DO NOT PURCHASE.

Disappointing machine for the price!
The design of the carafe is poor. It does not allow anyone to use a full pot of coffee. There is always at least a cup of brewed coffee that is not pourable from the carafe, even if you remove the lib and attempt to pour the remaining coffee from the carafe. The plastic ring and the pour spout are a terrible design and a waste of coffee. Additionally, the ground basket door always pops open after the machine turns off. Not sure what kind of "feature" that is, but is terrible to come home and find this open all day. For the price, this machine is a huge disappointment.

Disappointed
We received this coffee maker as a gift for Xmas two years ago. Between the chute backing up and not properly dispensing the ground coffee, and the water intrusion on the LED panel, it has been extremely disappointing. We absolutely love our other Breville products but this one missed the mark by a long shot.

Clunker of a machine - poor design
I’ve had it with this expensive coffee pot/grinder. Over not even two years and it has been very unreliable - the grinder not working consistently and the water level meter being stuck on 5-9 cups no matter what. I contacted breville and received a poor unhelpful reply. If breville does not make this right - im done with this brand forever. And please discontinue this coffee pot and make a better one - clearly based on these reviews this is a very poor machine - wish I had read them in advance and not just trusted breville as usual.

Disappointed with this machine
Bought this machine about two years ago. Everything was fine at first, but now the grinding seems to stop. The basket will not fill up even though things are clean and dry. It also doesn’t seem to heat the water up very much. The coffee is cool very soon after pouring into a cup. For the price I would’ve expected more.

Great coffee maker
I have had this coffee maker for five years and really love it, use it daily. Within the last few months one of the buttons only spins forward, so we are unable to use it to its full capacity any longer. However, this has been the best coffee maker I have owned and was well worth the money. I recommend it to everyone, love it!

Very Problematic to Operate - Finally given up
We have owned several grind-to-brew coffeemakers. I really liked the design and function of the Breville. When it worked, it made a great pot of coffee. But after over a year of battling with keeping it running, it has just become too problematic. The gate disk that opens and closes the coffee bean hopper has an issue with positioning properly. Even cleaning it every day doesn't help. I will try the reset procedure given to me by Breville support, but that can take 10-15 tries if it works at all. I have heard great things regarding Breville products, but this one just seems to miss the mark on design and function.
