We loved this machine at first, good coffee, easy to use, it looks nice from the outside, but inside is all plastic and low quality materials, in less than 2 years it has broken 2 times. It gets messy inside with water leaks and coffee spills all over the place, no matter we cleaned it up regularly following the manual instructions and using medium to light roast coffee, as if you attempt to use anything closer to dark, machine will start clogging and that will make things even worse. Completely disappointed, we thought of DeLonghi as a high quality brand for coffee makers, but clearly this machine model is an exception to that brand perception.

Worst Coffee Investment
This particular machine died on the third cup of coffee it sounds like the gears for the auger for the coffee beans broke or stripped so it just keeps saying out of coffee no matter how much you put in it and making a clicking noise. I think this is my first time actually writing a one-star review

Horrible machine
The worst coffee machine I’ve owned. It doesn’t let you know when it needs to be descaled. You find out when the shot is full of grounds. It breaks down constantly. I sent it back to the company once and they “fixed” it. I got 2 good shots before it broke down again. Now I’m dealing with mechanical issues and the low bean/ground light doesn’t turn off. I only had this machine for 2 years.

Makes great coffee
We are very happy with this coffee maker. It is easy to clean and makes a great cup of coffee with freshly ground beans. Only four stars, because the start up sound is a little disconcerting. We are not sure whether to leave the power on or turn it off after each use. There is no mention in the instructions.

I love my new coffee machine! I kind of wish the water tank was a bit bigger, but then I don’t, because that would alter the appearance. I like the simple, stylish design. I love the fact I don’t waste coffee pods. Whether it’s regular ones or biodegradable ones, I hated how wasteful those were. This coffee maker does require regular maintenance, like emptying the container for spent coffee ground and disposal water. We make about 5-8 cups (8 oz each) daily, and I empty the containers every 2-3 days. But with a regular coffee maker, I’d be cleaning it every day anyway. Also, I brush-clean fine coffee ground inside the unit, maybe once a month, when I rinse the infuser as instructed in the user’s manual. That’s something I wouldn’t have to do with a Keurig machine. But that’s a fair trade-off. I’d say I love it 98%. I’m never going back to any other coffee machines.

Saves time in the morning
I was able to use this at my little sisters house . It grew on me for convenience and easy to use . Since I was already used to this model I decided to replace my traditional delonghi espresso maker ( which I never thought I would) but the smart brew truly saves me time every morning . Anything that makes my morning routine go smoothly is a major bonus in my life. Two other family members also ordered the same machine . We have all been influenced by each other .

ATTRACTIVE BUT FAILS TO DELIVER ON ALL LEVELS
A 2025 Christmas gift for my husband who is a coffee lover. This is a beautiful machine BUT very tempermentle AND VERY LOUD! The whole bean option has no issues BUT go to make a the ground bean option and its an entire experience. Yesterday 1/9/26 the representative with customer service basicallly questioned us and assumed we were doing something wrong and WE ARE NOT so we tried his advice and this morning again I got a cup of warm water NOT COFFEE and yes I put coffee grinds in and used their scoop and yes made sure I put it int he hole in the back of the machine as the instrustion suggested. Making coffee in 2026 should not be this difficult and for $500 it should make a great cup of coffee with one round of effort. THIS IS A DIFFECTIVE MACHINE AND ITS GOING BACK TODAY1

Good Coffee but Defective
I had to return the machine due to water leaking and pooling outside the drip tray during normal brewing. While the coffee quality was good, the leak made the unit unreliable for everyday use.

No grind size control.
I returned the unit because I didn't like the taste. The grind was too fine with no way to control the grind making the coffee taste like Starbucks. I'm a Dunkin fan.

Worth the price
I am in love with my new true brew coffee machine. I decided to swap from Nespresso in order to save money on capsule purchases. While, not 100% the same in terms of brew strength, it is 99.9% close enough for me and I will never go back. It was easy to set up, is easy and quick to use and is easy to clean. I like this so much that I gave one to my daughter for Xmas.
