Too skinny!
I liked the look of this plus the security of it for a dog who likes to break into the food bin. BUT! I sent it back! This container does not allow you to place a bag of dog food into it - you can only pour the food in…meaning you have to wash the container after the food runs out. My vet says to not put dog food directly into a plastic bin and to keep the food in the original bag with the top cut off. This container does not allow for that.

We have a dog who can open doors and get into anything and everything. Fortunately, we purchased the simple human pet food can to combat this and it has worked like a charm! Only reason for 4 stars is because the magnetic scoop doesn't hold ever :(

I regret not making this purchase sooner. This is hands down THE BEST dry dog/per food storage bin for any modern home. It’s sleek, simple, looks clean and seamlessly functional. The magnetic food scoop is just complete perfection. The wheels are stellar for moving it around and putting it out of sight, but honestly, looks good out in the open. Love this!

Solution
We have finally found a way to keep our mischievous beagle from opening her food and helping herself to the buffet. We have tried 3 different "locking" food containers but she has figured out how to get into all of them. I highly doubt she will gain access to this vault of crunchy nuggets.

Disappointed
The wheels drive me nuts and do not work well. The scooper is too small for such a large container. I have multiple dogs and find it annoying I have to go back to scoop so many times. Overall the quality is good, just missing some key things that would make it much better. I actually would have been ok keeping my old one but I liked the black and thought it’d be better getting a larger one.

Best Dog Food Container, I’ve tried Others
I’ve tried at least 3 or 4 plastic screw on containers before finding this one. Not only is it a great looking can that matches my other SH cans, but it’s durable and holds a lot of food. I have 2 extra larges which hold the 75lbs of food I get every month for my 3 GSPs.

Really like this container, heavy duty!
So far no ants! I like that it seals shut and will hopefully keep the dry dog food fresh until used up. Only thing that could possibly be improved is the latching system. If the latch handle could be operated by one hand would be nice. . . The magnetic one cup scoop on inside of the lid is also a plus!

Bought two. One for oilers and one for cracked corn. I keep them on the deck exposed to weather and contents stay secure and dry and garments cannot chew through them. Very well made.

Bought a large pet food storage container for my pet several years going and the plastic holding the lid broke so each time I feed my dog the lid would fall off. This was a simple human product as well. I see the design has changed with a sturdier attachment. Hopefully this won't happen again.
