Q: Which has more plastic per load: the powdered detergent box or the pods and their packaging?

  • A: I’m no expert, but I think more plastic would be in the pods, which are covered in a plastic wrap that disintegrates during the wash, and potentially traces can end up left on your dishes and silverware. This is one reason why people avoid the pods and only use the loose dishwashing powder.

Q: HOW MANY CYCLES DOES THIS COVER?

  • A: It's actually a lot more than what the 'expert' says. The pods from the same brand are 0.5289 oz each, and if you use the equivalent amount of powder, for a box of 45 oz you get 85 loads.

    I don’t have a problem with the dish washing powder I did receive it today and the box up top where you pour out the powder was busted open. I had white powder all over the box and outside on the ground, in front of the house where whoever delivered it. Also, my laundry detergent was dented in.

    Need to wash items after clean cycle.

    I like that it’s fragrance free & affordable. I don’t like that it’s not cleaning as well as previously used detergent. I’ve had to hand wash several items out of each load, after the wash cycle is complete. I’ve had to rinse a few plastic items as they had a cloudy residue. Just not happy.

    No pre-washing required!

    Absolute best clean ingredient dishwashing detergent. I tested this with the worst avocado, egg, & other dried on food residue. Granted, I used a heavy dose in the pre-treatment & main compartment but... my dishes came out clean! It's not perfect every time. Sometimes I have a little residue left but adding a vinegar rinse or using a little extra detergent solves this issue. I've tried other clean ingredient detergents & they don't even come close in comparison. Other detergents left my dishes with a "wet dog" smell. I had to re-wash so many times. FINALLY a detergent I can just load without pre-washing. I'm so impressed & only wish I found this earlier.

    Exceeded expectations

    This is pretty great. Exceeded my expectations and love that it’s a very affordable free and clear option without plastic and without the huge pricetag. I still get the occasional stuck on food, but I’ve never used to a detergent that hasn’t done that and I’ve used cascade and dirty labs. However, I pair it with Lemishine as a prewash since I have hard water. These 3 together last me months for 2 loads a day and leave me with sparkly clean dishes.

    Great as a combo or solo product!

    I use this as a pre-wash as well as a tide pod. It’s made my dishwashing cycles significantly more effective. I’ve used it solo as well when I’ve run out of tide pods and it does just as good a job. I just make sure to add it to both the designated pod area in the dishwasher as well as putting a tablespoon’s worth in as pre-wash.

    Effective dish washing and cheaper than other free and clear types and brands.

    Good value for the money. Better and cheaper than other free and clear dishwasher detergents. It cleans pretty effectively although silverware is sometimes a little sticky. I'm not sure why and I'm still looking into this. Just be sure to use about a tablespoon or slightly more of soap for an average size dishwasher. Too much or too little soap can cause issues. It does have an odd scent out of the box but it's bearable and doesn't smell while washing.
