NEVER BY ANYTHING FROM TCL!!!
Worked great for 3 months. Then freon all leaked out and it does nothing. Warranty is worthless because all you get is a computer that asks if you did what the manual said like making sure it is plugged in to a working outlet. Finally it transfers to "NA Appliancing" that, after 6 calls, has never answered the phone.

Dont waste your money
Horrible product Do Not Buy. Worked until the warranty was expired. The company was no help what so ever. I assume they do not like repete business.

Not worth buying.
I bought this on 5/1/2025 and it stopped working in August 2025. Informed TCL on 9/12/2025. Customer service duplicated questions in the operating instructions, Had eight communications with no resolution, just repeat of questions. Cannot find out how to have the unit serviced.

Beware! E3 error Gas leak is common
Had this for about a year and now it has the E3 error, which means a gas leak. Don’t expect this to last multiple years. After reading the reviews, sounds like this is a common issue with this particular unit.

Buyer beware! This unit worked well for three months, then the gas leak error code came on. TCL support was slow and unhelpful. The unit was returned to Target.

Broke in less than 2 months
Worked great for two weeks. Then began to cycle erratically. Haven’t even had it two months and the back completely ices up and it no longer pulls moisture from air. This is the fourth dehumidifier I’ve gone through in the past two years, I guess they are all junk. Buy a protection plan.

Spent the first week after I got this stomping down to my basement, convinced it wasn't working because it was so quiet. It's working beautifully. I even tested it by unplugging the hose to be sure the tank filled, and it did - and right away. My last one sounded like a Learjet taking off. Definitely the best dehumidifier I've ever had.

This was a pretty good dehumidifier for our 1000 sq ft apartment, but ended up being too strong for our electric outlets and would trip our circuit breaker, leaving scorch marks in the dehumidifier (potential fire hazard). We sadly returned. We liked the 55 pint size because we didn’t have to empty it out as often, but we might have to opt for a smaller size with less power. I recommend this product, but just get the right size for your square footage.

According to the error code. C/backwards C, low refrigerant. Must have leaked out. Year old but only 6 months of use during summer months. Waste of money unless you need an upward facing fan.

TCL dehumidifier is a garbage. After eight months, the compressor was running, but could not remove any moisture from air. TCL refused to service even within one year warranty.

Issue right away
The bucket keeps beeping and saying it is full. This happens 2 to 4 times a day. The bucket is completely empty because the unit is on a continuous drain hose. Customer Service does not seem to want do anything about this eventhough it’s covered under the warranty. I keep going in circles with them, like they are trying to not understand the issue. I would not buy this item again.

Great dehumidifier
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this dehumidifier to try it out and I was pretty surprised how well it worked. At first I placed this in my basement because well, that is the most humid area in my house and it took about 2 days to fill the tank. There is also an option to run tubing directly into a drain but I wanted to see how the tank was. The noise level was OK. On low it was great, medium was well, medium and on high it was loud. The unit shuts itself off once the tank is full, which is nice. The only thing I didn’t like was the tank itself. It has a bunch of compartments, for what seems no reason. Pouring out the water should be an easy task but lucky for me, the water poured out of everywhere and onto my hardwood floor. So I dried it up as well as I could and placed the dehumidifier in the room. Other than the noise in high, this machine worked great and it saved my hardwood floors.

Conveniently Portable quiet dehumidifier
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the chance to review the TCL H50D44W dehumidifier and absolutely loved it. Let's me start with how convenient it is because it has wheels and I can easily move it from one room to another. Also it has no noise so very convenient to be used in the bedroom. I have kept it in my open kitchen dining area, and It seems just like a fan. It's working pretty well, and it collects at least half a tank of water in 2 days. As of now I have not connected the hose but emptying water tank is quite easy. I also love how it can be operated with an app.
